When Cursor stopped working, my first instinct wasn’t to code manually. It was to get Cursor working again.
I could still do the work. AI had just changed what “slow” felt like. ⚡
That might be the real dependency worth thinking about.

If the habit is "exercise", the push-ups probably count.
If it's "go to the gym", they don't.
The tracker wasn't the problem.
My definition was.
I'm still changing the system. I don't have a framework yet.
One useful question:
Am I measuring what I actually care about?

One thing I've learned from tracking my habits:
Sometimes the problem isn't discipline.
It's the definition of the habit.
I've been experimenting with a small habit system, and the interesting part hasn't been the streaks.
It's how often I've had to change the system.

My workout habit exposed a different problem.
I track "Workout in the morning."
But what I want is to go to the gym 6 days a week.
One Saturday, I didn't go.
I did push-ups at home instead and marked the workout complete.
Then I had to ask:
I'm thrilled to open my network to the world.
And I think the best way to connect with new people is 1:1s.

Hey @lexfridman, since @Neovim has won most loved/admired editor several years in a row for the Stackoverflow survey (and it's the editor 10+% of devs use), maybe you'd be interested in talking about open source developer tools and making software that developers can love?
