Also: I don't think Israel will shy away from arming the Kurds this time. In fact it may be already happening to a certain extent.
The reason why Trump went sour on arming the Kurds was Turkey. But Israel has no love lost for Turkey. I'm afraid Erdogan makes it all very easy.

Wafiq Safa, a senior Hezbollah official who served as the liaison between Hezbollah’s military and political wings in Lebanon, in a recent interview:
Nasrallah could not bear the sight of the wounded from the pager attack.
If he had not been killed (in the Israeli strike - AA), he would have died of grief.
He stopped eating and barely drank.
Everything that happened in the 40 years preceding the exploding pager attack was one thing. The exploding pagers was something completely different.
In 2015, the former head of Russian Railways proposed building a massive superhighway linking Europe and North America through the Bering Strait, creating a route that could one day make overland travel from London to New York possible.
The Bering Strait, which separates Russia and Alaska, is only about 85 kilometers (53 miles) wide at its narrowest point. For more than a century, engineers, governments, and visionaries have proposed building a bridge or tunnel across it, creating the first permanent land connection between Asia and North America. The two Diomede Islands, located roughly halfway across the strait, could serve as natural stepping stones for such a project.
Today, most proposals favor a tunnel over a bridge, as Arctic sea ice, harsh weather, and seismic activity would make a bridge extremely difficult to build and maintain. The crossing itself is not considered the greatest challenge; the real obstacle is the lack of infrastructure on either side. Thousands of miles of new roads and railways would have to be constructed through some of the most remote and sparsely populated regions on Earth.
Supporters argue that a Bering Strait crossing could eventually connect the transportation networks of Eurasia and North America, allowing freight and passengers to travel continuously by land between the two continents. In theory, it could even make an overland journey from London to New York possible.
Despite repeated interest since the early 1900s, the enormous cost, engineering hurdles, and geopolitical tensions have kept the idea from progressing beyond the proposal stage.
Time for a change in strategy. We should consider slow walking the enemy, building up our munitions, our oil reserves, get the price of gasoline down, get through the midterms, then knock them out. Instead of rushing to a deal, building up their oil industry, transferring billions to them, etc .
According to @BarakRavid, citing two senior U.S. officials, the U.S.-Iran MOU was remotely signed today and is now in effect.
What this means for right now:
- The Strait of Hormuz will begin to be fully reopened, with Iran aiding in mine clearance and obstacle clearance operations.
- Waivers will be provided for Iranian oil related sanctions.
- Cessation of all hostilities, including Israeli operations in Southern Lebanon.
More facets of the deal, most importantly, Iran’s nuclear program, will be discussed and finalized over the course of the 60-day negotiations period.
