know that usually there’s not a happy ending. It was kept realistic & that’s why people don’t like it, I think it shines light on real life shit , life’s not a fairy tale & sobriety is a struggle, rue wanted to get clean we saw how much but in this case her disease won

I feel like the show was written well In the aspect of rues ending , they were trying to show that addiction usually doesn’t have a happy ending. It takes way more people than it does let people get sober . Like the ones that have seen addiction in real life and lost ppl to it

🚨 Zendaya made proposals and script notes suggesting a completely different ending/life for the character Rue, but it was rejected, and she tried so hard that she simply didn't sign on as an executive producer for the third season, and that is the OFFICIAL reason why we no longer see Euphoria being Euphoria.
