@LukeEdwardsTele What a completely idiotic approach. How can they get to the end of July and not have made a decision on who they want to sign? Utter amateurs
@trisdouglas@JamesP728 Not really. I'm paid maybe 15% more than I would be for the same job ip north. Yet I've had to saddle myself with a gigantic mortgage to afford a house that costs probably double the equivalent in the north
@andygib263@JamesP728@TINKERCURL As before, HS2 doesn't benefit the south east (or anyone tbf). London and SE are 27% of UK population and have had 30% of infrastructure investment so not significantly overweight. Factor in the economic contribution and they should get far more investment if anything
@andygib263@JamesP728@TINKERCURL The transpeenine route upgrade cost £11.5bn for a start. Heathrow expansion will be paid for with private finance and will only be done (if at all) for commercial reasons. It's not really national infrastructure
@andygib263@JamesP728@TINKERCURL What are you basing this on? No one in the south East is benefitting from HS2 (the biggest waste of money ever seen in this country)
