I spent a lot of time when I was in Seminary with my grandparents in the village, and one of the many things they did was raising dozens of chicken and ducks. At any one time, you'd find no less than 30 chicken and about two dozen ducks, sometimes more of each.

Say each of them (hens - both of female chicken and ducks are called hens) laid 8 eggs each, after each weaning season, the chicken would still have around 5-7 chicks who'd survive the elements (and prey, like hawks, etc) to eating size, while the ducks would only have 2-3, maybe (but rare) 4 ducklings who survived.

Chicken would fight hawks, humans, other chicken, goats, sheep, anything that as much as threatened it's brood, and if they went out and one got missing or got stopped somewhere, it'd wait and figure out a way to rescue it.

Ducks would rarely fight predators, and yes, it'd wait for it's stragglers to catch up if they got blocked or delayed by whatever, but it'd give up too soon and too often, probably so it' wouldn't lose the rest too.

It always fascinated me back then because I'd wonder why the ducks wouldn't do more to lead, shield and protect it's brood.

Another thing was the chicks were more amenable to follow the lead of the mother hen, but duckling had a mind of their own from very early.

So yes, the hen is the better leader.

@OlabisiZoey Shey me that I was battling with hyperemesis gravidarum till the day I gave birth...all I wanted was a bit of strength to walk a few meters and be able to hold down a bit of food. I had to stop working and I was always in and out of the hospital.

If you are a Christian, you have been delivered from the domain of darkness and you are a citizen of the kingdom of Christ.

Going from pillar to post looking for who would "deliver" you is a belief problem. Most of what we call demonic attack is a belief system that never got updated. If for 20, 30 years you were fed with teachings that focused on witches, sin and demonology; your life will align with that worldview. This is not the will of God for you, you have simply being conditioned.

You need to start the process of transforming yourself by renewing your mind and calling yourself who God calls you.

You are righteous. You have eternal life. You have been sealed by the Holy Spirit. You have everything you need for life and godliness.

Ten years ago today, I sat down at my office and took a stock of my life.

I didn’t like the direction my life was going
Poverty had a chokehold on me

I began to fret, because I was just a few years away from turning forty and all the potentials I had shown since childhood had refused to bear fruit in my adulthood

I had given birth to my children in poverty
They were attending the cheapest school I could find

I had a job that could best be described as that of a glorified messenger
I had a degree that had not brought me any profit

My life was a hard and unpleasant one
Added to that I developed a mysterious illness and the doctors told me I had six months to live

I was a pastor, a born again Christian and I was living that “It shall get better in the by and by” life

I turned to the Lord and I had a conversation with him
When Lord will Jacob become Israel?
When Lord will potential turn to manifestation?

The Lord said “I told you your destiny in 2007, you chose to live like others and not as I have ordained you to live.
Hence, this battered life

There is a space for you, preserved for you in destiny, if you will embrace it.

I said “I am ready Lord, what do I do?”

He told me simple things…

Read that Bible daily for two hours
Pray in the Spirit daily for two hours
Start praying for people and nations as an intercessor
Stop complaining and start appropriating my blessings to your destiny

I obeyed.

Today is the ten years anniversary of my freedom from rebellion
I embraced obedience and the course of my life changed forever

It is not too late to do the same.
There is a destiny for you in Christ, it is not difficult to fulfil but you must be willing to trust and obey.

I got married to this very toxic woman, who physically, verbally and mentally assaulted me at will throughout our three years of marriage.

About the time the marriage clocked three, I met this lady who works with a marketing company. The lady would give me research works to transcribe and analyze for a fee

This work was bringing me an extra source of income steadily. One day, my wife got on my phone, saw that I had been exchanging work messages with this woman and she called her on the phone.

When this lady picked, my wife went off on her without any restraint. She called her names and insulted her mercilessly.
The next day my wife sent a mail to the lady’s office accusing her of being a husband snatcher

I begged this lady when I got to know, I apologized profusely and I even wrote a letter to her manager explaining who my wife was and how she usually behaved. I attached pictures of past injuries and police reports and promised that I would keep my private matters to myself going forward.

The matter died down.

I became better at keeping my private matters to myself and started pleasing my wife more so that she will not be unnecessarily provoked.

A few weeks after this time, this lady started coming on to me very strongly.
We got close and eventually became lovers.
I started cheating on a woman who could beat the two of us to death!

This lady encouraged me to move out of the house, get a lawyer and file for divorce.
She stayed with me for three years until the divorce became final.
All the while, as I was going through the process my expectations and hopes were hinged on marrying this lady who is the love of my life

Divorce became final!
I was free.

This lady took me to dinner and told me she is not interested in marrying me or being my lover anymore
She just dated me so that I could grow some spine and be encouraged to divorce my ex wife

She said I should make better choices in women going forward and ended our relationship

I am so lonely right now and I miss her so much

She has not been picking my calls or responding to my messages

Please sir, what should I do?

@ebeletheservant It's even good that the obsession made her share it. A lot of lives have been saved because I'm never going near a coffee machine in a hotel room again
