Behind the Dominican Republic’s assault on Haitian water sovereignty stands an Israeli Occupation apparatus – arming border forces, training police, and designing a thirty-year plan to control the island’s water supply.

For years, Haiti’s border with the Dominican Republic has become increasingly militarised. The Dominican Republic constructs an island-spanning border wall, staffed entirely by Dominican troops and military police, to control the flow of people and goods to and from Haiti. Central to this conflict is the resource of water: The Dominican Republic and Haiti share a watershed. The island’s rivers and lakes supply both countries with water for irrigation and drinking, but years of conflict and environmental degradation have made access to shared waterways a contentious issue between the nations.

Today, these border conflicts have created long-standing tensions over land and water in the shared territory of Haiti and the Dominican Republic Dajabon River in northeastern Haiti, a struggle for water access, underscores the shadowy operations of the Israeli Occupation’s national water company.

FRANCE: THE #1 OBSTACLE TO PAN-AFRICANISM

French President Emmanuel Macron elicited howls of derision when he declared himself a 'true pan-Africanist' at the recently concluded Africa Forward Summit in Nairobi, Kenya. Under his rule, France's once-iron grip on its former West African colonies has succumbed to a wave of popular revolt in one country after another. Leading the way are Mali, Niger, and Burkina Faso, whose Alliance of Sahel States took up the real pan-Africanist mantle by expelling French troops and embarking on a program of sovereign regional development.

Sovereign Media's Ahmed Kaballo sat down with Margaret Kimberley of Black Agenda Report to recount this history and its bizarre repercussions on the other side of the continent. Because in July 2023, as Niger completed the hat-trick of popular coups in the Sahel, Kenyan president William Ruto took the opportunity to audition for the role of East Africa's most loyal Western asset. So began his road to perdition: endorsing Israel's genocide in Gaza, enforcing imperialist diktats in Haiti, and finally embracing a French president so despised he can no longer convene a France-Africa summit anywhere in Francophone Africa.

But France, with its incurable colonial arrogance, will not accept defeat gracefully. As Kaballo reminds us, an unbroken chain of terroristic sabotage links its 1960 plot to destabilise Ahmed Sékou Touré's Guinea to its alleged support for militant extremists in Mali today. And now Kenya is offering Macron a new base of operations in East Africa.

US AND UAE FUND MILITIA TO “GUARD” CONGO MINES

A disturbing new development in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) is reigniting allegations of neo-colonial plunder.

The US and UAE are reportedly set to fund a private militia projected to reach 20,000 personnel by 2028, tasked with "guarding" the DRC’s 22 mining provinces.

The DRC provides over 70% of the world’s cobalt, is a primary supplier of coltan, and holds roughly 10% of global copper reserves, making it central to the minerals powering electric vehicles, smartphones, and AI hardware. Indeed, these minerals are a key part of the US and UAE’s ambitions to lead an “AI revolution," thereby arousing suspicions that the funding of a Congolese militia will facilitate imperial resource extraction.

Following a US-brokered deal, President Donald Trump candidly stated the goal was to "take out some of the rare earth" and "make a lot of money."
The UAE’s involvement has also triggered alarms that the "Sudan Model" is being exported to the DRC.
Observers fear the creation of a Congolese version of the g*nocidal Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia: a mercenary proxy violently extracting wealth while bypassing state sovereignty.

By funding a private 20,000-man militia, the US and UAE are effectively blueprinting a "paramilitary-industrial complex" to police the very resources they intend to loot.
From Sudan to the DRC, the strategy remains the same: outsource the violence, fund the militia, and extract the minerals.
True sovereignty cannot exist while foreign powers fund private armies to "guard" African wealth for Western gain.
