Lando immediately lapped 1 second a lap faster after being let go by Oscar and maintained that consistently until the pit. Once he pit, he was absolutely flying. Way too much pace today. MCL needs to re-evaluate when they apply these equal treatments.
#F1
the insane aura he gained this weekend with these radios 😮💨
"i'll pull out a 10 second gap with no tyres"
will: are we willing to let hamilton undercut us?
"let him"
I don’t think Landos getting enough recognition for his win. He overcut two drivers today when everyone else was getting undercut.
His pace was otherworldly. When he has a good car, this is what he can bring to the table. This is why he’s a champion.
This is easily the most confident version of Lando Norris
"I could have pulled away a whole pit-stop window, I think, on him & boxed again if I needed to"
"...The fact I could do this is what gave me confidence that I’d win the race no matter what, whether he boxed early or late or whatever"
"from a stategic pov, were there some frustrations on your side of the garage today?"
lando: "i mean, i just want to win the race. there's certain rules we have as a team and we can't harm each other's race by being overly aggressive and wanting to win. but i want to win and i certainly had much, much better pace than him. we had a much better chance of winning the race, let's say.
so when i was stuck behind oscar, max was four seconds behind, and at that point, he's still a threat. ahead, there's no threat and we have a lot more of a guarantee that we'll win as a team anyway. so i wanted to box and undercut, because my pace would have been so good, i could have pulled away the whole pit stop window, i think on him and boxed again if i needed to. or i get him to box early, and i think we're on the fine line between, boxing too early and harming both of our races.
so that was just the best interest for the team, which they rightly have to say back against me, but i want to do whatever i can to try and win a race, of course"
“the frustration on the radio I understand in the moment, but when he says things … you got to remember he had the preferred strategy … I don’t think it’s fair to put that on the team … I don’t think the team did him wrong.”

After becoming the first driver in F1 history to win his first 11 races at 11 different circuits, Lando Norris breaks the streak with his second Hungary GP win!
@NorracAA Did you watch the race? Oscar got the preferential strategy, he simply just didn’t make it work. Even without the Carlos incident and no DNF there’s no way he was winning. His pace simply was not match for Lando’s. Lando made his win possible, not McLaren
Icl, the fact #they think Lando got priority again is just telling of his skills. Lando can beat everyone’s ass while not being prioritized by the team to the point that everyone thinks it has to be done with team help.
Nope, that’s all Norris #hot
