@lanegoodwin I loved the book "How to Be a Superior Man", the training routine is brilliant. Took me a couple years to realize how genius it is. First, it prevents you from overtraining or getting rhabdo by accident. Second, it's fast and efficient.

“To accuse others for one's misfortunes is a sign of a need for education.
To accuse oneself shows that one's education has begun.
To accuse neither oneself nor others shows that one's education is complete.”

The role of muscle in health and disease is greatly underappreciated.
Below is a scientific article aptly titled "The underappreciated role of muscle in health and disease" which was published in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition in 2006.

The root cause of almost every common health issue is poor metabolic health.
The solution to poor metabolic health is to make lifestyle adjustments to improve body composition: shed excess fat mainly, but also build muscle mass.
It's a shame that more people don't take advantage of this especially when it's relatively quick and easy to build a respectable muscle mass.
You don't even need a gym or equipment other than, maybe, a pull-up bar. Bodyweight training is virtually free.

@EgoDriv People drink coffee with butter thinking that it won't break their intermittent fast because butter doesn't make you fat (it does.) It not only looks disgusting but it's also fattening.
It indeed is, and a successful one at that. It deeply saddened me to learn that young Canadian men regard “selflessness” as the top masculine quality. 🤦♂️

@MasculinePeak Trying hard is looked down on in society but it's exactly what you need to do to get ahead.
Ignore society and try hard anyway. There's no other feasible option.
@RealTroyFrancis Being too invested in the outcome is automatically self-defeating because it will create unnecessary anxiety which will negatively affect your performance.
Best to realize that you'll survive and be fine regardless of the outcome because that's the indisputable truth.
