My first post for the Deadline was uploaded this week and as a future English #educator I want my posts to not only be interesting but also informative. I truly recommend this book to anyone wanting to take part in their own betterment of themselves.
#bannedbooks are not dangerous to anyone but the part of society trying to keep a lie going. Rip off the blinders, pick up a banned book and see for yourself why these books are considered so dangerous - they tell the truth.
5/5 Following a hunch, I peered under the crib, and there he was, smiling wide and perfectly intact life and limb. Pulling him out from under, I gave him a huge bear hug, returned him to his mother, and promised myself I will never again fail to ask whether a child can crawl.
@lilyschnaak You’re going to make an excellent mother. Sacrificing sanity and sleep is a prerequisite and apparently you’re ready to go above and beyond. 😂💕
@lilyschnaak Baby-proofing is much more intensive than I once thought as well. 😂 Good luck on baby-proofing, perhaps give up couches, beds, cribs, anything the baby could fit under? Desperate times do call for desperate measures. 🤦🏼♀️😂
@ATwitchell4 Just remember this story when your future baby reaches about 6-9 months. Don’t panic and look under any surface they could somehow magically squeeze under. Eventually you will find them and then you can finally breathe again. 😂
Let kids be kids has always been my mantra when engaging with children. They are little for a reason and should enjoy this magical time. This book offers insight into that method of interaction with kids (teachers, this may interest you!) https://t.co/NJC3KzYX9g
4/5 I called in the supernatural forces - the mothers. We looked everywhere. I was convinced I was a terrible person. Tears brimming, headache erupting, I took one last look around the room until I heard the tiniest sneeze I have ever heard.
3/5 Today, after pulling playdough out of a toddler's nose, I looked back only to find that the baby was gone. I think I had an aneurysm. I counted the kids. I counted again. Nope, I was still missing one.
2/5 It was an accident I swear. I have never lost a child before, but I was not properly warned before being given the child in question. You see, he had learned to crawl this week. Previously, he was a good boy who when put down would still be there in 30 seconds.
1/5 I don't think I'm ready to be a parent. No one ever really is of course, but thankfully (for the eventual child) that is a long way off for me. You see, during sunday school I lost a child. Yep. Poof. Gone.
@lilyschnaak Love this thread - truly a great reminder to appreciate our educators. This also brings working off the clock to our attention. How many other careers are expected to give endless time and energy towards their work without compensation? Appreciation also needs to come in a raise.
@ATwitchell4@NicholsBoyle Making the world a safer, better place should be priority every day of every month. Thank you for reminding us of this ongoing fight in the midst of our daily comforts. We must never forget the pain of those around us and we must remember to be kind to all.
A 4-day school week for students is perfect for ALL
TEACHERS can use the 5th day to catch up with their insane workload!
STUDENTS can catch up, play, meditate, and/or participate in ANY extra curriculars they’re interested in without the wildness of a minute-to-minute schedule.
