- Ugly generic architecture, could be anywhere on the planet

Slow versus Fast architecture.

Slow is built for the speed of people walking by, rich with detail, stories, and craftsmanship.

Fast architecture is built at the speed of cars, bereft of intrigue because these details can't be appreciated at high speeds.

Always opt for slow!

architects optimize for the image.

no one is explicitly responsible for how a place feels five years later.

in a strong community the goal isn’t just to make the other person the hero. it’s to understand them well enough to connect them to the right people and opportunities.

creating value between people is the actual end goal.
