49% of 2nd Round MLB draft picks will play at least 1 day in the Big Leagues. (51% never make it)

Out of those players, less than half will ever make it to Arbitration (3 years of service time).

Out of those players, less than a third will ever make it to Free Agency (6 years of service time).

Getting drafted is just the first step in the journey.

The three things I would focus on:

1. Find a team of people that are in it for you.

2. Treat every $$$ like it is the last you might earn in baseball.

3. Enjoy the journey, it won't always be smooth but it is worth it.
