@Polysesouvient@mtlgazette Prior to polytechnic the term assault weapon was rarely used. The continuous use since by media & zealots painted a picture. Media and Hollywood are the only reference most people have. A very distinct but inaccurate picture.
@Dicky_Paul_95 I don't see this as a hypothetical. He mentions he owns guns. Keeps them for varmint control while mentioning squirrels in the house. And then talks about the RCMP waiting for him and how he is making" this admission"
@meunierfredz There's that line in the quote that "the advisory Council has also concluded". So who else other than the advisory Council? Poly?
They're trying to deflect. As far as I'm concerned because they won't release who's on that advisory Council I'm assuming there are people from Poly
@BBQMeatKing84@TWilsonOttawa@i3Trading@WeAreCanProud Grandfathering is not the answer. Ask the guys in the seventies and eighties.
Grandfathering might be winning the battle but not the war. This has to go to the Supreme Court win or lose.
@Polysesouvient@parti_liberal You were just hoping guns were confiscated before the Supreme Court had a chance to look at the case.
Rule of law indeed!
Would you prefer the accused hangs before the appeal is heard?
@Safety_Canada Why the hell is the Secretary of State for nature announcing a public safety initiative while the public safety Minister stands behind? How does this woman who has leveraged her victim status for 30 plus years have so much pull? within government?
@mirgray@Safety_Canada Because a buyback of this sort ( confiscation) only affects legally purchased firearms. Bought by people licensed to do so.
Criminals with illegal guns are specifically not allowed to participate in this confiscation. The government is targeting firearms that are not a problem
@dogmom_lj@mario4thenorth If we weren't taxed to death we can afford all those things out of pocket. But only buying the things that affect us as opposed to paying for everyone else
@Polysesouvient That's a fair question.
Sec. Of state for NATURE. Why do we only see her publicly speaking about a Public Safety file?
Being a victim doesn't give her a pass on answering questions as a politician.
@FoodProfessor@emilyabrown2025 Or they make enough money or have enough money that they're not hurting yet. I'm feeling every dollar of all those problems
