@verge@dcrainmakerblog I agree re Naps (I use Oura Ring - Whoop also does not report unless prompted ) Garmin also consistently exaggerates my total sleep eg today 7hr15min, Oura 6:24, Whoop 6:25 ..
4. What about naps?
In 1 study, researchers pitted napping against coffee. Those who took a nap of 15 to 20 minutes awoke with more alertness and went on to perform better than those who drank 150 milligrams of caffeine, or about the same amount in a Starbucks grande-size coffee
In one study, going from 8 hours of sleep to 5 hours of sleep for a week decreased testosterone levels by 15% in young men.
So if you think testosterone levels are important to your performance...then get some sleep!

@altini_marco If there is any doubt I also take a morning measurement using the iPhone camera and HRVLogger. Fantastic value & feedback for the price! 👍
@altini_marco Looking after your body and keeping fit requires some effort. In my experience this App is the most reliable indicator of ‘Red flags’ in my training and I use it every morning, linked to an Oura ring to check on my overnight recovery.
@altini_marco I use the Oura for my overnight HRV input to HRV4 but was concerned that the values were so much lower than on Whoop& Fenix, have just joined the Oura beta and was hoping that the upgraded sleep algorithm might change this, a constant 15- 20 difference is quite a large difference!
@altini_marco is there a reason that the overnight average ms HRV Values from my Oura ring are so much lower than from the Garmin Fenix 6S & Whoop that I also wear overnight? The trends are similar. For example:
