This would be fantastic for Language Hunting, which is fundamentally an intimate act of personal connection around language - made into a pale shadow of itself over tech like Zoom etc.
The answer is so obvious when you see it, but it didn't even occur to me. This doesn't entirely fix the social media problem, but it really helps minimize it. All personal information used for ads should be explicitly opt in, granular, and provide easy opt-out.
