Society is pretty messed up for females. My wife didn’t gain a single extra kg except baby weight and delivered a healthy baby. Every aunty saying “oh aise thodi hota hai itna jaldi kya shape me aana hai” and other known person who delivered same time gained a lot of weight, every aunty telling her to get back in shape.

Do you know why top US unis are so successful? Because they take not only the top meritorious students but also kids of billionaires, world leaders and celebrities. The idea is to let the former network with the latter, and the latter to fund the former's ideas.

So Anant Ambani may invest $50 million in his Brown University pal's AI startup. And Aryan Khan may hire a cinematographer from his USC cohort when he makes a movie.

Now imagine how much IIT Bombay would have benefited if it had a seat reserved for Anant. They could have had batch parties in Antilla. They could have disrupted Silicon Valley out of Powai. IIT Bombay's loss is Brown's gain.

Imagine if Aryan Khan had a reserved seat in IIT Kharagpur. TVF would not have had to struggle to disrupt OTTs. They would use his network to airdrop Jeetu Bhaiyya directly into Bollywood. Kharagpur's loss is USC's gain.

Right now, the next Anant and the next Aryan cannot crack IITs. Is it fair to the vast meritorious talent pools of these two institutes that they cannot network with these influentials?

Reservations should be for ALL minorities, and not just the disadvantaged minorities.
