Great spin along the Boyne river in Drogheda, organised by @droghedacycling. It was part of the

“Cycling Across Borders: All Ireland Cycle Campaigners Conference” where cycle campaigners from across Ireland met for a chat (and some therapy!)
“The Department’s track record in the delivery of its active travel objectives is poor and has had little impact on active travel level.”
@NIAuditOffice, Sept. 2025 on @deptinfra’s active travel delivery.

Can @NIAInfra ask @deptinfra to do a pedestrian & cycle count on these new “active travel” projects to determine effectiveness? How much modal shift has this generated in these areas?
Given latest @NIAuditOffice report – is this value for money?

A Co Down grandmother who wanted to offer MLAs a taste of her toxic ‘Lough Neagh Smoothie’ has been escorted from Parliament Buildings by police.
Donaghadee pensioner Bea Shrewsbury aimed to highlight the lough’s plight by bringing a bottle of her own specially branded water sample from Ireland’s largest freshwater lake to Stormont on Monday.
@LapTheLough Did a cycling holiday at the start of July around Lake Constance, 3rd largest fresh water lake in Europe and it's absolutely pristine. Would make you weep for the toilet we've been left with there.
Most of Lough Neagh's problems boil doing it fundamentally being a public asset and, at the same time, not being treated as such.
Stormont's shallow gesture politics - and magical thinking around the lough's predicament, more widely - is serving it poorly.

For me 30 was the first time I understood I was aging and really didn’t enjoy my job…so, I did a marathon, cycled around Lough Neagh, raised money for charity, and went back to study journalism full time (and working a variety of part time jobs). I’ve been working as a journalist since before the course ended. And that was nearly 15 years ago so after initially feeling I was running out of time 30 turned out to be life changing.🤍
This pic was taken by Martin at the Antrim Castle halfway point stop. (His final time for the event included his pit stops as he forgot to start/stop his Strava!) An amazing achievement especially cycling in the very wet weather yesterday!
Congratulations to our Business Development Manager Martin Moore who completed the arduous 90 mile @LapTheLough cycling sportive on behalf of incredABLE yesterday! We're all very proud of you Martin! 📷
