@angiecthomas My ongoing discussion with college classes I teach and school library colleagues is we have to send a message to publishers by buying books by diverse authors. Especially in this climate of book challenges. We can’t lose this momentum, so many good books are coming out.
We do an 8th Grade Legacy Book where our students select a book for us to purchase for the library. The students then write on a bookplate why they selected the book. I think you will appreciate this @kellyyanghk from an 8th grade boy. @MelanieScovill @kristy_heien @SandyHeiser
Book problems. @kristy_heien Book talked Legendborn by @tracydeonn. Have to do a raffle to see who gets the available copy. One student checked out Bloodmarked before reading Legendborn to the horror of the class, teachers and Principal @SandyHeiser
Our 8th graders loved having the Colorado Shakespeare Festival perform The Merchant of Venice today! Such a cool opportunity for our students! @COShakes#StVrainStorm
