Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish a fire in the basement of a home near E Hampden Rd and S Dahlia St in Cherry Hills Village. Residents and their pets were able to safely evacuate when their #smokealarms sounded. Investigators on scene.

A dozen firefighter cadets are about a month away from completing the training needed to become probationary firefighters. Six cadets with Larkspur and six from our neighbors in Palmer Lake will be conducting live fire drills for the next two Saturdays as
state-administered test to earn a “Firefighter I” certification. Graduation is set for November 14th.
