This is what you miss when you're not in the lounge.
While the entire timeline was calling for a dump, @Crypto_Scient called it out clear as day:
"Building longs... price is coiling and I am anticipating a strong push."
Fast forward to today: $BTC hits $65,000. 🎯
I remember opening KuCoin in 2020 and finding six figures of $AAVE just sitting there.
Back in 2018 (early bear market) I had bought the original ETHLEND and completely written it off as dead.
Scam rumors + full bear market vibes. I was done with it.
Turns out LEND got swapped and renamed.
By the time I rediscovered the bag it had already done a 30x+.
Sold every last token at $110 the very next day in December 2020. Right after I sold it went parabolic and ran all the way to $500.
I sat there watching AAVE turn into a proper DeFi giant through the entire 2021 bull run.
Came back in 2023 and bought again at $95 almost exactly where I had sold in 2020. The bag went down to $70 and chopped sideways for months.
Caught the mini bull and sold everything at $300.
My 2023 entries and exits were pure TA.
I endured a 20% downside for a 200% upside.
Meanwhile I watched a lot of the pico-bottom $70 buyers sell everything at $100 just because it “might test the lows again.”
I didn’t catch the absolute bottom and I didn’t sell the absolute top.
Still walked away with solid profits. while Pico bottom buyers took early profits and waited for better entries to maximise the gains.
Pico bottom entries are never guaranteed. They don’t guarantee profits either.
It’s all about the mindset.
There’s a time in the cycle where you need to switch off the trader senses and switch on the investment sense.
I feel that time is now.
Upside is far more than the downside from here, and that single fact is enough for me to stay positioned at current prices and let time do its thing.
Every single $BTC bear market bottom has been a two drives bottom. Not three. Two. (even on majors solana:So11111111111111111111111111111111111111112 and $ETH)
Go check the chart yourself. 2011. 2015. 2018. 2022. Marked all of them. Same structure every single time: first drive makes the low, second drive tests it, trend changes. The third drive everyone keeps waiting for has never actually come at a cycle bottom.
A third drive lower would be cool. But as I said earlier, the cost of not accumulating at current prices is far greater than the reward of buying 10-20% lower.
It will hardly matter when you're trading it at $200k.
Absolute beauty of a trade on ethereum:0x68749665ff8d2d112fa859aa293f07a622782f38
Looks very strong. This likely goes for a lower high and makes a push at highs in the coming months.
$BTC.D and $BTC finally look synchronised again.
It ALWAYS bottoms together with $BTC bottoms. And goes up together.
While people search the BTC.D chart for signs of an altseason, it has always been a better read on BTC's own price action instead.
An Altseason is just a byproduct of $BTC's bullrun
Read into that what you will.
One thing I want to highlight to keep it real with you all.
Altcoins are not worth trading right now. And accepting that is exactly what you need to do to survive this last phase of the bear market.
The money in altcoins is not made at the bottom. It's made when the trend is clear and visible. Everyone trying to catch the exact altcoin bottom right now is burning capital they'll need when the actual trend arrives.
The framework is simple. Trade bitcoin:native 80% of the time, $ETH 15%, and $SOL plus a handful of large caps the remaining 5%. Capital allocation should follow the same split.
Why? BTC's price action is reliable 90% of the time and follows TA cleanly. On altcoins, TA hardly matters when liquidity and trend are absent. You're not trading a chart, you're trading randomness.
Buying spot in high conviction plays is fine. But leverage is not for altcoins, especially in this environment. I'm sure 99% of altcoin traders on leverage are losing money right now.
You will make far more money trading BTC and ETH than you ever will chasing altcoins in these conditions. The alt casino will still be there when the trend returns. Your capital might not be, if you keep feeding it.
Survive now. Feast later.
“A bunch of bad stuff happened and BTC didn’t go down 👀”
I generally like these relative strength arguments
But can stuff go up please? Been hearing this for months
It’s turning into “I ate 10 punches but didn’t get knocked out”
Two weeks ago I created my own self custody wallet for btc and eth which pretty much ables to hold any currency.
Did that simply using an open source AI MODEL.
Audited it with a couple of AI models.
Tested it for a week. Audited the tests and been using the seed generated from my own wallet which nobody else has access to.
Hosting the wallet on an old mac.
Using the wallet on am old iphone.
