@LouiseLearJones No fish. Not even his biggest pool. He has a much bigger one in there sunk into the ground, but refuses to use it. So I put that one in for him and he loves it.
Isn't it a tad exploitative to stand on the hospital bed of a critically injured toddler to press a political issue? Especially seeing as, in all elements of the equation, the animal wasn't the problem.
Should we stop keeping crocodiles in zoos?
A three-year-old boy was in critical condition last night after he was thrown into a crocodile enclosure by a stranger.
The man has been arrested - but should we also ask why a child could be anywhere near a crocodile at all?
@Number10cat@Xena_chronicle@policylaila Shows her legs and hair, proposed banning Burnkhas in public in her mayoral campaign, doesn't pray or fast during Ramadan. That's a fairly secular approach to her faith.
@NotAvgLiberal Not me taking a position, but when I worked in Italy well over half the people I met were pro-Brexit and pro-Trump. That was 2016, mind.
The BBC, in pushing the idea that dog friendly spaces are alienating people with cynophobia are forgetting that it's an anxiety disorder that needs treatment, not affirmation and accommodation.
I'm cripplingly scared of heights, I'm not demanding the London Eye be lowered.
WOW The BBC is now suggesting the UK needs fewer dogs.
That’s… quite something. 😮😳🫢
Dogs are part of everyday life for millions of people in the UK and we are a dog loving people.
My MESSAGE to the BBC, F***K OFF!
What’s yours?
@valkyrafe@AntSpeaks@HausdorffMedia Again, can any of these reports be deemed to be independent? Far be it from me to defend him, but the facts as they stand suggest to me *grimace* that he's right.
@valkyrafe@AntSpeaks@HausdorffMedia Haven't all international journalists reported from within Gaza with heavy control of the IDF? That surely creates the potential for bias.
Equally, agencies who have relied on local journalists creates the same potential bias.
@lundgren_rosa@AndrewGold_ok@Sargon_of_Akkad@KonstantinKisin@cfdownes_ I understand it, I just don't get the significance of 100 years, especiallyif you're of mixed heritage. Steve Laws, for whatever expertise he holds, says that Andrew Gold, who claims his family have been here for 200 years, changes nothing, as he can't be English.
@lundgren_rosa@AndrewGold_ok@Sargon_of_Akkad@KonstantinKisin@cfdownes_ I do. I also have ancestors from Australia and Germany who lived in their respective birth lands 100 years ago. As I said, only 25% of my (known) ancestry is English.
At what stage does one qualify or disqualify?
