âA man who cannot fix ordinary political party cannot fix Nigeria. A man who carries his wealth to Tax Haven instead of putting it in Nigeria is not patriotic enough to lead Nigeria. A man whose only business is supermarket, import finished goods and sell here cannot solve our unemployment problemâŚ..â

Olodo is a Yoruba word from 'Oni Odo', which means someone who scores/owns zero.
Putting it out here to avoid unnecessary debates from usual suspects in the future.
âNobody invented Gèlè"
Yoruba women at the club in Gèlè (Yaba Lagos, 1960s)
Yoruba woman at work in Gèlè (1940s)
Yoruba women at their shop in Gèlè (Lagos 1946-47
Yoruba women at home (1950s)
Not every headwrap is Gèlè. Yorubas tied scarves too.
Gèlè is a specific Yoruba style with a long documented history and this specific style spread across Nigeria through cultural exchange.
It is okay to acknowledge this rather than trying to rename it. It is also okay to correct misinformation, thereâs nothing high IQ about letting false narratives spread.
Every other Nigerian is using the Yoruba word "olĂłdo" now. In 50 years time, the descendants of Chinedus like Vivian and Anambra's First Slave will be there to say "olĂłdo" is a corrupted Ibo word from "onondo".
Just putting it out there.
Instead of investing massively in education, you're using govtâs money to send terrorists on Hajj. You sent a whopping ten terrorists on Hajj, the same terrorists who have been killing your people day and night.
Bro, Northern leaders are wicked and very callous.
@Hybrid_Ola Tribal talks is definitely something I donât even wanna get involved with, itâs here on twitter I learnt that Yoruba and igbos do not like themselves and I see the tribal 8 up and down, I never knew until I joined this app in 2022
Yorubas will never train their kids to h@te another tribe !!
Never !!! Yâall stay away with your insecurities
Yoruba is not the only tribe in Nigeria
Pick a struggle !
I really thank God that I am Yoruba
and I really thank God that my Yoruba mother didnât marry a man from another tribe but married a Yoruba man, modupe lowo ori mi đđđ§đđ
I really do not understand what you guys have against Ojude Oba event in Ijebu, every year you guys always come up with reasons why the event shouldnât hold. Itâs getting tiring at this point.
Massive respect to the citizens who made the difficult choice to liquidate their life savings, businesses, and properties to relocate abroad. In the face of systemic hardship & insecurities, their sacrifice represents a desperate but necessary quest for a better life.
Citizens are caught in a devastating trap. While the incumbent governmentâs policies lead to severe inflation and injustice, the opposition offers no viable solutions, exploiting worsening insecurity for political gain. The country is being failed by greedy politicians.
