47 different varieties of anything is exactly the point. Whether it's Sour Patch Kids Oreos, grass fed beef/chicken, organic cereal, sugary cereal, etc etc we have it all. It's not anything to be embarrassed about. We have choice, other places don't and I believe that was the OP's point.

Visiting Hawaii and just pulling into Pearl Harbor. The tour bus driver was on the PA system giving a little history on the way. As we got into the parking lot she thanked active duty and veterans saying “freedom truly isn’t free”. Is it bad that I immediately thought of @JesseKellyDC when she said that? As you've said, it's radicalism. China and Russia are must more sophisticated than these barbarians who strap bombs to themselves and cook babies in ovens just for fun. Plus, China and Russia, who are probably the two worst countries on the planet in my opinion actually have a stake in the economic fortunes of the entire world, so they have to pursue domination a little differently, say by not cooking babies. They aren't suicidal, they're communist. How can you not see the difference? If you hate "western style democracy" so much, go move to Gaza, I hear it's nice this time of year.

So funny. I live in the northwestern Lehigh Valley in PA and it can get pretty rural. When I first met my wife, who is from nw MN (which the LV cannot hold a candle to on theme rural scale), but had moved to outside of Philly after college she remarked that I lived in the middle of nowhere. They have Muslims in their parliament. Policy differences with any government are legitimate. Moral equivalence with the Palestinian leaders nope. And the two state solution? Please look up how many times we’ve been on that precipice only to have schoolchildren and innocent Israelis blown up by rockets or suicide bombers just before the signatures. Isreal is the only country on earth held to the impossible high standard of perfection. Are they perfect? Nope. But to reiterate. They are better than Palestinians 100% of the time.

I thought the same thing. They are all referencing that it has become divisive and turned into something partisan, which they do not agree with. Ok, if that's your opinion fine. Shouldn't we hear an example of the divisiveness or partisan nature of the event? I was only 4 for the bicentennial but I shudder to think that there was some litmus test for people who performed at celebrations.
