This morning, around 7 a.m., Russians struck a 10-storey apartment building in Kharkiv with a missile, killing two people and injuring 21. Entire floors, from the 7th to the 9th, were destroyed. This is genocide.
We remember.
Last year, these four families were killed by russia. Entire families — wiped out in their homes, in their towns, across Ukraine.
This is not a “war” - it is genocide. Its aim is simple: to erase the Ukrainian people.
I woke up today excited.
I’m outside of Poltava, and I feel amazing.
My 50 km mark today is on the other side of Poltava, out of the city, which means Poltava is 100% doable.
And I cannot explain how excited I am to see stores. To know that, for at least one day, I’ll have easy access to water. To know that every kilometer is taking me closer to Kharkiv Oblast, and closer to the end of this journey.
We are now just $562 away from our $50,000 goal.

That feels incredible.
We’ve had a lot of losses over the course of this journey, and you are making it possible for us to replace some of that equipment.
In the nonprofit world, we call this “earmarked” money. Every single dollar of that $50,000 already has a purpose. I have a list of equipment that needs to be replaced, things my soldiers need, and things we have lost along the way.
And I have another list.
A list of names that keeps growing while I walk this walk.
The names of boys who didn’t get to see me finish this story.
Boys who have now been added to the long list of soldiers I walk in honour of.
That is the part of this journey that is much harder to put into words.
Every kilometer brings me closer to the finish, but not everyone who was there when I started is still here to see me reach it.
So I keep walking for them, too.
Please keep helping my boys.
And if you can’t donate, please like, comment, and share.
It genuinely makes a difference.
Poltava is only the beginning of this story.
If you stay with me, there is so much more I need to show you.
There are incredible moments ahead.
There are heartbreaking ones too.
There are people I want you to meet, places I need you to see, and stories that deserve to be told.
We’re getting closer.
Help me honour the ones who didn’t get to see the end.
And please help me take care of my soldiers.

Happy International Cat Day from the Ukrainian cat with the biggest eyes I’ve ever seen. This is a frontline animal shelter in Chuhuiv outside Kharkiv run by Tetiana, who has 120 cats here! Alyona from our Hachiko team has been delivering food to help, as Chuhuiv is bombed often.
💔 A dog waits on the ruins of a home destroyed by a russian strike last night.
Three people were killed here.
One of them was a child.
He is still waiting for them to come home.
Russia destroyed 8 million books in a drone strike on the warehouse of Ukrainian publisher Ranok, including 600,000 school textbooks. This was not collateral damage—it was a deliberate attack on knowledge, memory, and Ukraine's future. #CultureUnderAttack#StandWithUkraine
Russia has attacked the Chornomorets Stadium in Odesa.
Several people were injured.
What do you say to that, Infantino? Still want to allow russians back?
Words cannot express how much I hate this administration.

I was sitting at a bus stop waiting for Andrew when a car suddenly pulled up.
And out stepped the man from the store yesterday, the same man who had refused to let me pay for my food.
He came running toward me with his phone in his hand, my picture on the screen, saying, “This is you! This is you!”
Somehow, he had found me on Instagram and then driven up and down the highway looking for me until he found me sitting there at a bus stop.
He opened his car and started pulling things out for me: cookies, water, and 2,000 hryvnia for my soldiers.
That 2,000 UAH was added directly to the balance for thermal drones.
What do you even say to something like that?
Yesterday, he told me about his family in #Canada. Today, this man went looking for me on the road to Poltava because he wanted to help my boys and help me.
I sat there at that bus stop with a very different kind of tears running down my face.
There are days on this journey when I am tired, sore, overwhelmed, and wondering how I am going to keep putting one foot in front of the other. And then someone appears.
Someone gives me food.
Someone brings water.
Someone donates.
Someone drives out of their way.
Someone refuses to let me pay.
Someone simply decides, “I can help.”
And somehow, all of those little acts carry me a little farther.
Not long after that incredible encounter, another car pulled up.
Andrew from @HugsUkraine
Andrew, thank you so much for going out of your way to purchase this for me, for refusing to let me pay for it, and simply for being the kind of volunteer your country needs.
This journey may be mine to walk, but I am being carried along it by so many people.
To the man who searched the highway for me, to Andrew, and to every person who has donated, shared, stopped, brought something, encouraged me, or helped my soldiers along the way:
Thank you.
I am ever grateful.
Hugs. 💙💛
