Over the past week, we've learned more about Robinhood Chain than we expected and unfortunately, what we learned doesn't align with the vision we have for Launchwood.
When we started building Launchwood, we believed Robinhood Chain was moving toward a future of meaningful onchain assets. A future where projects with real utility, real products, and long-term value could raise capital and build sustainable communities. The chain itself began with the idea of tokenized stocks and bringing real-world assets onchain, and that's the direction we wanted to support.
Instead, today's reality is very different.
The ecosystem has become heavily centered around short-term speculation. Most launches are treated as opportunities for quick profits rather than long-term investments. We've watched aggressive dumps happen across nearly every launch, where the majority of participants are focused on exiting as soon as they're in profit, regardless of what the project actually represents.
That isn't the environment we want to build for.
Launchwood has never been about creating another platform for meme launches or extracting volume. Our focus has always been the founders building real products and the investors looking for projects that deserve long-term support.
A launchpad should help a project reach its next milestone not leave founders defending themselves after factors completely outside of their control destroy community confidence within hours.
Over the last few days, we experienced many of the same problems that projects launching on Robinhood face today. It became clear that if we continued building here, our users would eventually face the exact same issues. We don't want founders to spend months building a product only to have their launch dominated by short-term traders, followed by unnecessary blame and FUD from people who never cared about the project in the first place.
Because of that, we've made our decision.
Launchwood is officially migrating away from Robinhood Chain.
After evaluating our options, we've decided that Base is the right home for Launchwood.
Ethereum mainnet has the investor base we admire, but launch costs remain too high for many early-stage projects. We also considered Arbitrum, but Base provides stronger ecosystem support, better developer tooling, wider adoption, and integrations that matter for the future of Launchwood including seamless USDC and Stripe integrations.
Most importantly, Base has an ecosystem where utility projects have a genuine opportunity to grow alongside long-term builders and investors.
This also changes our own plans.
We will not be relaunching a Launchwood token anytime soon. Our priority is helping other projects succeed first. We want founders to raise capital, ship products, and hit milestones before we ever think about creating our own token.
As for the existing token, its outcome only reinforced the lesson we've learned. We can accept that happening to us. What we cannot accept is watching the same thing happen to projects that choose Launchwood because they trusted us to provide a better launching experience.
Our responsibility is to build the platform founders deserve not simply follow wherever the volume goes.
What happens next?
1. Launches on Launchwood have been paused.
2. If you placed bids in any auctions, please withdraw your funds. Every failed auction is fully refundable, and you will receive back exactly what you bid.
3. Withdrawals will remain available until Monday.
4. After that, the current website will be taken offline for approximately one week while we complete the migration to Base. You can still withdraw bids on uniswap directly as well.
This wasn't an easy decision, but it's the right one.
We're choosing to build for the next five years not the next five minutes.
Thank you to everyone who supported Launchwood on Robinhood.
Our future is on Base, and we have no plans to bring Robinhood Chain support back to Launchwood ever again.
@BiiGMYLES No its actually auction style meaning before going to directly trading it goes through auctionstage making sniping, early huge accumulation and rugs not possible.

Tomorrow we'll be sharing the next steps for Launchwood and the direction we're taking to fundamentally improve how token launches work.
If you've placed bids on any auctions that have ended, please withdraw your funds from the auction page. Failed auctions are fully refundable, and your entire bid can be withdrawn at any time.
More tomorrow.
Every Launchwood auction has a fixed end time.
If an auction reaches its deadline without graduating, the launch is marked as Failed. That means 100% of every bid is refundable no funds are lost before graduation.
To withdraw your bid:
• Go to Explore
• Filter by Failed
• Open the auction you participated in
• Click Withdraw Funds
You'll receive exactly the same amount of ETH you originally bid.
Your funds remain locked only while the auction is active. If the auction doesn't graduate, every bidder can withdraw their full bid no penalties, no deductions.
*Note: If your auction was removed because of impersonation you can find your auction on uniswap just put the filters and you will see it and can withdraw your bids from within there.
Every token launch seems to repeat the same story.
Snipers buy first.
Whales accumulate early.
MEV extracts value.
Retail becomes exit liquidity.
These aren't isolated incidents they're structural problems with how traditional launches work.
We explore why this happens, what it means for both builders and communities, and how auction-style CCA launches rethink price discovery before trading even begins.

@vlsss12 No we saw other launchpads statuses so we are not getting hacked. We are well prepared
Btw the official CA will be visible on the website in some minutes
When an auction is live, any ETH you bid is locked until the auction ends. During this phase, tokens cannot be traded, so there is no possibility of anyone selling or dumping before the token graduates.
Once the auction ends:
If the auction graduates: You can claim the tokens allocated to your winning bid. If you were partially or fully outbid, any unused ETH is automatically returned.
If the auction fails: You can withdraw 100% of your ETH, exactly the amount you bid.
This ensures a fair launch where every participant competes on equal terms before trading begins.
For the best experience, we recommend using the "Participate on Uniswap" button, as it provides more advanced bidding controls and greater flexibility. If you encounter any issues while bidding through Uniswap, you can always place your bid directly using the bidding component on our platform.
