@CAVandy @BlockClubCHI I know very few owners whose homes are fully paid off. And how do you define "a little more tax"? The increase can equate to several hundred more dollars per month (it has for me). That unexpected permanent expense can push people out of their homes, esp. those on fixed incomes.

@BlockClubCHI @mina_bloom_ The property taxes I paid this year for my East Humboldt condo were 190% more than last year and the 2 years prior. This is even after I won an appeal last year. I wondered if it was even legal to have such a steep YOY increase, but it seems to be so. #ouch
