An incredible day at the #NDinHE conference. Lovely to be back in Bristol but within my new role at @BathSpaUni. Some fascinating presentations and discussions about how to improve HE for ND individuals with some great lessons to learn.
@ODEONHelp I am trying to support someone who I work with to get their MyLimitless account set up and the card is being declined. Your customer service presence is not existent and this impacts on those with disabilities.
Another fine example of inclusion in action! A Braille shirt with a donation to @OCH1883 led by @jugglingmum2011 and another charity which helps feed local people! Big steps and props to rovers! Mines been ordered! #inclusion

The sooner we recognise a young person’s neurotype the sooner we ensure their needs are met and support them to fulfil their potential. Proactive action is key to minimise the risks of isolation & trauma. Awareness, education & training is where change happens. #Autism
Another call for research participants who’d like to talk about their experience of obtaining an ADHD diagnosis. Especially those diagnosed in childhood!

I am currently recruiting participants to take part in my MSc dissertation research project.
I am investigating the female experience of obtaining an ADHD diagnosis.
I have attached my poster so please get in touch if you are interested 😊
Thank you in advance! #adhdresearch
A little post on female masking in primary education.
Primary schools operate on one teacher ALL year. With girls with autism and ADHD they often (not always) can mask and cope. When secondary school hits, can’t. And becomes school refusal.

For a lot of ADHD'ers, burnout is a frequent unwelcome companion.
This is because being ADHD makes us more susceptible to burnout, and changes what burnout feels like, and what it takes to heal from it.
Let's talk about it. A thread (1/🧵)
Having submitted a formal complaint 2 weeks ago (as requested by support on here), I have just received an email giving me a list of answers to FAQs as a ‘resolution’. @easyJet this is absolutely unacceptable and I will continue to escalate this until a resolution is reached.

I think about this a lot with regards to my teenage years. I’m not grateful for the journey, but I’m grateful for the destination and for the life and purpose I have now. 💛 ig: soleoado
One of the perils of studying with ADHD has to be when your brain comes to life. 4am was not when I’d planned to wake up and write but have to roll with inspiration when it comes around
Representation matters.
Jason Arday didn't speak until 11.
He didn't write until 18.
Next month at 37 he becomes the youngest black, autistic professor at Cambridge, researching neurodivergence and black students, & how to open doors to the disadvantaged.

Such a wonderful charity to be a part of whilst completing my degree. The days I work keep me going throughout the challenges of studying. Going into our 30th year it is wonderful to envision future achievements
