Hi @SW_Help I usually travel onwards from London Waterloo to London Bridge, via Waterloo East, using SWR Flexi-season tickets to London Terminals.
Will this be accepted for travel on the Waterloo and City Line while Waterloo East is closed?
@l33t_gaymer@ShruggedAslef@guidoacasa@SW_Help I’m trying to establish if SWR London Terminal tickets loaded onto smartcards will be accepted on the Waterloo & City to Bank when Waterloo East is closed in July and August. I wouldn’t be able to get to Cannon St on the overground as Waterloo East will be closed
@guidoacasa@ShruggedAslef@SW_Help I was hoping @SW_Help might be able to give a definite answer so as to avoid demanding anything, especially from slightly frazzled TfL staff at the Bank gateline in rush hour
@ShruggedAslef@guidoacasa@SW_Help Because you can do Waterloo East to Cannon St via London Bridge on an SWR London Terminals ticket, when Waterloo East is open
@guidoacasa@SW_Help Final destination is the City and slightly closer to the drain… but going Waterloo East to London Bridge saves me about £900 a year, as it’s included in SWR tickets to London Terminals. I think the extra couple of mins is worth £900
@SW_Help If success is measured by the gates opening, then yes! I can see the smartcard on the new website but it looks as though no cards are registered for tap2go. Same on the pc version.
@TLRailUK@GWRHelp Again thanks for responding but etcikets are available for LBG to Reigate and LBG to Dorking Deepdene, yet not the tiny station in between! I will formalise the feedback.
@GWRHelp@TLRailUK any idea why I can’t get an eticket for London Bridge to Betchworth?
They are available for LBG to Reigate and LBG to Dorking Deepdene, the stations either side of Betchworth
@TLRailUK@GWRHelp Thanks for responding. But that really makes no sense. What is the technical limitation?
Betchworth has very low usage and this sort of thing does not help it!
@TLRailUK@GWRHelp Hi. No - I’ve done this journey maybe 10 times in the last 18 months and never been able to get an eticket, always have to go old school. Just a bit weird it seems to be possible for LBG to all the other stations between Redhill and Shalford, but not Betchworth!
@GWRHelp please can you tell me why the 1149 from Betchworth to Dorking Deepdene didn’t stop today? It wasn’t announced as cancelled and my mum had to wait 2 hours for the next one.
