@SW_Help shout out to the wonderful guard on the 1203 from Woking to W'loo for telling my son all about his job and making him feel special. He is autistic and obsessed with trains and wants to be a guard one day 😊 thank you for making his day
@SW_Help huge thanks to the guard on the 1233 Woking to w'loo. He showed my autistic train fanatic son what he does and spoke to him about trains. It made him so happy!
@cyclingkev@DominicRaab My son's classroom reached 44 degrees yesterday and he had a headache when he got home. They have two rooms with air con that they used for one hour of the day (rotated classes). Needless to say he won't be going in today. It's dangerous for the children and the staff

I just learned that the Māori word for autism is takiwatanga, ‘in his/her own time and space’. It’s such an empathic and gentle way to describe the condition I’m trying to come to terms with.
Remember:

6. Climate chaos is inevitable.
7. Extinction is now.
8. Plastic is in our blood.
None of this is front page news.
Yesterday areas of the Arctic were 30 degrees higher than normal and Antarctica 40 degrees higher. Scientists are deeply alarmed. We can not lose sight of the existential threat to humankind of Climate Catastrophe in all the terrible noise of War.. or the asteroid hits us.
