“So your bar required masks until 2026?”
“Yes, Dave.”
“And you marketed only to lesbians?”
“That’s right.”
“So now you’re $50,000 in debt and you don’t even work at the bar anymore?”
“Correct.”
“So what is it you do now?”
“I’m in clown college.”
I predict that AOC will surprise everyone by instead running to be mayor of a small town in the Midwest that helps her learn the real meaning of Christmas
I am not sure why everyone is assuming that Taylor Swift’s unreleased track “Cleveland!” is about the city instead of the more obvious possibility that it is inspired by Grover Cleveland, the 22nd and 24th president of the United States.
@TheDonStein We sang "I Know My Redeemer Lives" as the closing hymn of my grandpa's funeral and ive been sold on Easter Hymns for funerals ever since. (Also for his funeral cards we did Psalm 23 as one of like 2 "straight from the Bible" options 10/10 recommend)
@TheDonStein My paternal grandparents did not leave a ton of wishes related to their funerals but they were incredibly firm (including with the funeral home) that we are to say "[name] died" because people die! Thats what happened!
@yeastyvodka Also the "content in your single life' stuff tends to 1) come from people whose version of that was in their late teens/early 20s & 2) has a vision of content meaning you are like totally fine and barely desire a relationship and not like "hey this life is doable bc it has to be"
@yeastyvodka God every time this gets tossed out there I want to be like "oh wow it never occurred to me I could end up in a bad marriage wow who would have thought clearly I am just too dumb to know that bad relationships exist i am too naive right because I've never been married"
Every mid-spring when I open up my shed after the winter to get my flower pots and tomato cages out I once more am like "I am the bravest woman on the planet" because I never know how many spiders, birds (dead or alive), and other critters may be waiting for me
