I don't know who came up with this idea of teaching two cohorts of kids (some in person, socially distanced, some online) simultaneously but it's wrong. It's two jobs. It's not good for kids, and it's not good for teachers.
It is extremely important for educators to work on their mental & physical health right now. Whether school is in person or virtual, we are dealing with stress that we have never encountered. Take time for yourself daily/weekly - read, walk, rest, spend time with loved ones.
#hcpsread A3: Taking on one role at a time is obviously more manageable and can help us to practice and perfect one role before jumping into another one.
#hcpsread A2: As teachers, we need the students to trust us. Showing them that we are willing to put ourselves out there and be vulnerable will help build that trust.
#hcpsread A1: If we teach students to admire their own reading process, they will take full ownership of the process and begin to develop their own identity as readers.
