Most often: coleslaw with apples and raisins, in a mayonnaise based dressing; special occasions: a green or orange jellied salad with marashino cherries and walnuts or canned mandarin orange segments and cottage cheese (respectively). Liked both.

My 86 year old mom leaves the mistakes in if too far back and after she’s done, goes back and adds flourishes to them (eg little flowers). Wouldn’t work for all projects clearly, but looks quite nice on a shawl!
