Deligthed to see our paper out, demonstrating a universal role of mast cells in asthma - but with different localizations across asthma phenotypes. #asthma#phenotype#ahr. #mastcellsmatter https://t.co/sG1a4CcNyJ
@doclip1 I agree that T2-low is where we lack options and assessment of Teze on strictly T2-low would be very enlightning albeit difficult to recruit to as you highlight. IMHO a key step is moving away from a definition based on the absence of T2 to the presence of something.
@doclip1 I believe we agree on the prevalence of true T2-low - it is rare - and I do not believe the references Venn-diagram is fit to identify true T2-low as would lower cutoffs for both IgE and B-eos would be needed IMO.
Happy to see our research highlighted by the ERS!
A key takeaway for daily practice is the need for routine airway inflammometry - not only in specialized SA clinics - as eosinophilia otherwise is overlooked in a large proportion of patients @RespBispebjerg@PluZdk@CPorsbjerg
T2 inflammation is highly prevalent, with biomarker co-expression a particular trait of severe asthma. The best treatable trait, eosinophilia, is missed in half of patients with mild–moderate and one-third with severe asthma without airway inflammometry. https://t.co/XFUpMbC4bE
Extremely proud to share our first study coming out of the VITAL study: "Allergen Immunotherapy Enhances Airway Epithelial Antiviral Immunity in Patients with Allergic Asthma" https://t.co/JmK1hHnxWf #asthma#Immunology#Immunotherapy@RespBispebjerg
Vi bruger tid & kræfter i @akutberedskabet på at tage os af folk, der har drukket for meget - og faktisk kan du hjælpe! Se Karl fortælle om det her, og del meget gerne videoen. #sundpol#dkpol@RegionH
Calling all translational researchers with an interest in airways immunology og strong team skills!
Excellent opportunity to be part of a truly clinical translational team - in a fantastic era of targeted immune treatments - with a strong focus on impact! https://t.co/xYaQZVYqd0
Excited to share our recent findings highlighting airway eosinophilia - and in particular eosinophil degranulation - as a key player in severe asthma patients with bronchiectasis.

Exiciting times ahead with studies assessing treatments targeting both inhibiting of eosinophil degranulation (LTRA) and also IL5 (mepo -> Uni of Catania @Crimillina)

In this real life cohort of asthma patients we compare expression of biomarkers - including induced sputum - across asthma severity. https://t.co/ONrAlaeYWu
We find T2 inflammation to be more prevalent in SA and that biomarker expression relating to more than one pathway to be a particular trait of SA.
Our findings also highlight the need for clinically feasible airway inflammometry as 22% of patients had airway eos without blood eos
In patients with severe asthma, former smoking history is associated with eosinophilic airway inflammation and activation, relative insensitivity to steroids, and airway autoimmunity. Study in @ERSpublications. #pulmonology@lauritsfrossing@DrMMukherjee
