Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has disclosed that top political and business leaders, including Senate President Godswill Akpabio and billionaire businessman Aliko Dangote, reached out to him to delete his viral social media updates during the Osun State governorship election.
Speaking during an exclusive interview on News Central TV on Tuesday, the music icon opened up about the intense pressure behind the scenes during the vote-monitoring exercise.
Davido alleged that political opponents deployed massive financial resources, estimating that over ₦110 billion in cash was brought into the state to manipulate the election outcome.
“I just confirmed today. They spent N110 billion. I’m coming from somewhere where we had an insider who was sending us… If you see the cash these people brought in. If they had gotten away with that election, Nigeria is finished. Because the blueprint for election will now be violence and money,” he stated
And some people are trying to gaslight Nigerians that no Federal might was used
Where did they get 60 billion????
Don’t be deceived, this loss is so painful for them!
According to reports, they sieged this place in wait of Peter Obi because they discovered that Mr. Peter Obi, made a brief stop at a fast-food restaurant in Otukpo, Benue State.
Remember how Edo people still rounded Peter Obi last week and followed him as though Jesus was entering Jerusalem for the second time?
You could also hear so many good things they are saying about him on the video.
That tells you that whatever efforts we put in 2027 will surely work out, that is, if the youths are ready to protect every votes the give to Peter Obi.
With diligence and perseverance, Osun template is very possible.

You cant say APC is evil at state level because they want to unseat you, but they are super awesome at national level.
That same bitterleaf soup you want others to drink at federal level, you must drink it at state level.
So miss me with the whole bullshit of crying to Trump.
Davido is petitioning the APC and calling on Donald Trump to intervene in the Osun election so that there will be a free and fair election.
I will like to believe that the only reason Davido is at the front burner, championing for a free and fair election, is because it affects his family directly.
Davido does this every four years whenever his uncle is contesting an election. He pulls out his shots, calling on all necessary international bodies to intervene.
But immediately the elections are over, he becomes less bothered about what becomes the fate of the general elections.
Well, to me, I see whatever Davido is doing as just interest and nothing more.
If it were not directly connected to his family, would he be this passionate about the general state of our elections?
Nevertheless, I wish him and his uncle well in their political battle ahead of August 15.

The message we want to send with this operation is that *you can't come to Enugu to commit this kind of crime or violent crimes and get away with it.*
Two, we have come to the level of improved security and mindset that the kidnap of even one or two persons is for us a very major security breach and all our security assets that Mbah has invested hugely in are deployed to respond in a way that sends the right message to the criminals. No joy for criminals in Enugu.
Meanwhile, the security operation regarding the kidnap incident at Affa was successfully concluded on Monday evening with the recovery of rifles, ammunition and cash, including foreign currency. The first suspect was arrested earlier during the weekend immediately after they released their captives. Unbeknownst to the criminals, our security forces were on their trail, just waiting for them to be separated from the victims to avoid collateral damage. And once the captives were released, the needful was done.
If by your own words, the APC is such an awesome party, if you and your family endorse APC at national level and want APC to continue for four more years, then by your own logic, why exactly should the APC not also take over your state?
Please let’s throw the sentiments away and use some common-sense here for once. Because if APC is so great for the whole country, why are you now crying that the same APC wants to unseat your uncle? Why is that a problem?
This whole noise of writing to Trump is a waste of everyone’s time. Again, the point here is simple, if you endorse a dirty APC at federal national level, then don’t cry that the same APC is playing dirty to unseat you at state level.
You are not a victim.
You are a willing participant in your own political destruction.
SENATOR FRANCIS FADAHUNSI’S INCENDIARY RHETORIC AHEAD OF THE OSUN ELECTION
I wish to express my deep regret, and profound concern regarding the recent inflammatory comments and threat-laden rhetoric attributed to Senator Francis Fadahunsi in the lead-up to the Osun State election on Saturday.
As a high-ranking lawmaker representing the people in the National Assembly, Senator Fadahunsi carries a solemn constitutional and moral responsibility to promote peace, uphold democratic norms, and foster unity. It is therefore alarming and unacceptable that a distinguished senator would deploy intimidation, incendiary remarks, or political threats capable of heightening tensions, instilling fear in voters, and potentially inciting electoral violence in Osun State.
Elections are meant to be a celebration of democratic franchise - a peaceful exercise through which citizens freely choose their leaders without intimidation, harassment, or coercion. Resorting to threats of force or disruption undermines the integrity of our electoral process, disrespects the electorate, and threatens the fragile peace of the state.
I therefore respectfully demand that Senator Fadahunsi retract these harmful statements and tender an apology to the peaceful people of Osun State.
All political leaders, stakeholders, and party loyalists across party lines must exercise the utmost restraint, moderate their language, and recommit themselves to peace and democratic decorum.
The relevant security agencies must closely monitor inflammatory statements and ensure equal protection for all citizens, election officials, and voters before, during, and after the polls.
The democratic mandate belongs to the people, and no individual, regardless of status or political office, should attempt to subvert the will of the people through fear or coercion.
I urge the good people of Osun State to remain calm, peaceful, and resolute as they exercise their constitutional civic duty at the polls.
Getting elections right is a necessary step towards a New Nigeria that is POssible. -PO
This was a statement by Senator Fadahunsi now on video. Translation
"From now on, whenever you see Accord members, kill them. I authorise you to kill them. They have wives and children too. This is a Federal Government election. On election day, even if they come with voters card, we wont allow them to vote" - Senator Francis Ade Fadahunsi, Senator representing Osun East Senatorial District in the National Assembly a whole sitting senator !!
Which way Naija ? Why must we struggle even when we try to improve there is always something that frustrates you. We did Evisa in the uk and the process was seamless. To do passport extension after a Laudable initiative some folks may be trying to work against the minister The sad bit I was meant to pay usd100 for the contactless approach and yet that revenue won’t go to the coffers bc some folks want us to patronize the physical process of dealing with touts so that we can get an early date and the money goes to them Please use your contacts to help Nigerians in diaspora. The minister needs to know the bottlenecks. His initiative is laudable but appears folks don’t want it to work so they continue to benefit from physical engagement.
When I became Governor, I told my wife that you can't have the office of the first lady because you never campaigned and nobody Voted for you...
........Peter Obi..........
You may think that Peter Obi is pretending, but if you have studied the lives of people like Balarabe Musa and Umaru Yar'Adua who lived very modest lives as Governors, you will surely understand that its just the way God created him.
@Big_marvis Classifying external reserves as a microeconomic indicator demonstrates a fundamental misunderstanding of economics. External reserves are a core macroeconomic indicator used to assess a country's external sector and international financial stability.
