Hey Alberta
Unions are not the enemy.
Oil patch workers are not the enemy.
Nurses, teachers & government
workers are not the enemy.
Corporate greed is the enemy.
Rich and powerful people want us to fight with each other over scraps while they count their $$$$ #ableg
Fantastic news. Alberta’s health system is finally moving away from the outdated and ineffective socialist system we have now towards adopting the reforms found in the world’s strongest health systems found in Europe and Japan.
Mark this day folks…within 3-5 years Alberta will have by far the most doctors and nurses, the shortest wait times, and the best health outcomes in the country.
The good news for you is many of them ARE quitting. So those that are left have worse working conditions and are asking for better. Thats the way the free market works. Do you know of some secret group of teachers who can’t find work?
The Charter does not give the teachers' union the right to extort an additional $2 Billion from Alberta taxpayers while holding our kids' education hostage. If teachers don't want to work 200 days a year while still getting a 12% raise, they can quit and find a full-time job.
Imagine being a ‘journalist’ and not being able to figure this out with 1 phone call in the last 4 weeks.
Tell me you don’t wanna understand the issues without telling me you don’t wanna
Class size is a massive issue.
Some classrooms packed to the rafters with students.
Good teachers are burning out.
But something doesn't add up.
We have 750,000 students and 51,000 teachers, reports the Journal.
That is 14.7 students per teacher.

@TheBreakdownAB When one party has the authority to unilaterally bind a decision to another party, it’s not a negotiation. Why even bother with unions or Anything … it’s all a big charade
When your local election results take a lot longer to come in tomorrow DO NOT BLAME THE MUNICIPALITY. Your Premier decided to do away with tabulators to pacify conspiracy theorists. Oh and by the way it will cost a lot more too. #abpoli
This column is still trending after two days - Lavish private-school funding infuriates teachers, spooks government. Now a parent has clearance for a referendum question on all private funding. https://t.co/v3T9SqCFDz #abed#ableg#yyc#yeg#apoli#cdnpoli
Your regular reminder: if you're mad that it's not 2014 anymore in Canada's oil and gas industry, and you're blaming the federal government for that, you might want to look at what's happened elsewhere.
These a**holes. Non-stop pandering to their fact-averse base. Bike infrastructure is CHEAP compared to car infrastructure, & study after study has shown that it REDUCES congestion and improves health & safety by making active transport accessible to more people.

The Western cranks - and frankly, that describes Manning, Danielle Smith and the UCP, their media allies, and more - are trying to threaten separation. It's dangerous, deluded stuff, especially in the age of Trump.
A little quick internet search, seeing all these Albertans talking about being the economic engine of Canada, and how Canada would fall apart without Alberta.
Ontario GDP 38% of Canada
Alberta GPD 15% of Canada
No, Albertans and Canadians think fundraising for an American propaganda org with a guy who thinks we shouldn’t exist as a country is disloyal.
Alberta gained nothing. Canada gained nothing. The only person who benefitted was Danielle Smith.

And even if it *was* before the courts, there's no law preventing govt (or anyone else) from talking about it.
When someone says they can't talk about x, y, z because it is before the courts, what they mean is they don't **want** to talk about it.
We've obtained multiple documents to show the many many ways that UCP government has intervened in major health procurement decisions, even if Danielle Smith says it's all an AHS internal issue: https://t.co/e9FtgP6Lyx
