@edgaralandough Helpful, but this is still a way of wanting.
"Usually when you do something, you want to achieve something, you attach to some result. If you do something in the spirit of non-achievement, there is a good quality in it."
(Zen Mind, Beginner's Mind, "Right Effort")
i am begging some of you to become ok with hearing not-so-great-things about yourself. especially if it is coming from a loved one that historically respects your agency. chances are you unknowingly crossed a boundary & someone is trying to tell you in a respectful way.
@pyroxiumn The real eye opener is that people are genuinely built different. For some a run is relaxing, for others it's another chore. This is true for cooking, reading, doing art, hanging with friends. To some extent anything can get better with exercise but some things are just innate
This is free advice from an expensive psychologist. If you’re an anxious person, do everything for fun. Go to a job interview for fun. Submit documents for fun. Start a blog for fun. Anxiety feeds on importance. Don’t make everything a matter of life and death.
maturing is realizing none of us are easy to be with. It's about who's willing to stay committed to understanding you and actually wants to grow with you
