⚠️ FRIDGE ALERT! ⚠️
A new fridge has been established by the community in the Rose City Park neighborhood. It’s location is on the side of the blue/grey house on NE Hassalo at NE 59th. Thank you all for continuing to support this project, community is what makes it all possible!
There are many more people facing eviction in the coming months. Even if an eviction moratorium is continued in PDX, illegal evictions will take place.
There are a lot of empty homes and buildings, and a lot of people unhoused.
We proved we can do shit about that. Lets do it.
We still need supplies for a BIPOC tenant who is facing illegal lockout:
Space Heater
Blankets
Flashlights
Batteries - for flashlight
Trash Cans
Thumb Tacs
Camp shower
Light bulbs
Flat Burner
Brushes
Tote Bins
Air Freshener
Scented Candles
2x4 planks
Tarp
Nails
Tools
Wire
The fact that @OPB put out a story saying the “Kinney family owns a second home” because their grandmother owns her own home is racist as fuck.
Like are they insinuating that 1 house for 3 generations should be enough for this family?
If your concern is that a multigenerational Black & Indigenous family owns two homes & think that that's grounds for one of those homes going to a real estate investor who probably owns 2+ homes by himself, then your issue isn't really how many homes the family has 🙃
We wouldn't be surprised to see the police arrive before the Kinneys have enough money to defeat this land grab, so the next few hours are crucial. If you can show up, please do. If you can donate, please help right a wrong that started with a predatory loan.
The Fight for Red House is not over!!! @tedwheeler wouldn’t even agree to let us stay the land in peace without the fear of @PortlandPolice illegally raiding the Red House Camp. Roman, the colonizing land developer, Still Has Not agreed to give back Red House.
tip: when an Indigenous group says "this Chinese oil company is contaminating our land and water", immediately whatabouting to America is, in fact, violently anti-Indigenous
Indigenous liberation means everywhere and if you ain't about it you've never been a fucking "comrade"
To streamers and press: are you ready to be responsible for someone's death?
To others: when you see someone streaming or filming, are you ready to let your inaction kill someone?
This is real shit. It happened in this city, this year. If folks don't act, it will happen again.
I'd like to help make Red House as accessible as I can. I cannot be otg, so would someone be able to tell me if there are cots there? For folks that can't get down on the ground to sleep.
If there aren't, anyone wanna help me source some? Let's make this occupation last!

While activists are focused on the Red House eviction blockade, Tear Gas Ted’s goons are taking advantage of this to move in on the large houseless encampment at Laurelhurst Park. Dozens of residents will be displaced. During a pandemic. Absolutely shameful. Photos by @Malcntnt1
The Kinney family of @RHonMississippi requests we call the Oregon Historical Society to help get their house protected on grounds of its significance. They insist they are still fighting, asking higher courts to overturn the illegal seizure of their home.
