@elonmusk Friend just got his S broken into. We need a new accessory: an independently lockable "vault" that installs in the rear well (or frunk), for purses, laptops, etc. Could include a camera that snaps an image of whomever tries to open it.
@daringfireball Good observations. Perhaps the solution is going even bigger: https://t.co/g9yGZAfu4g
I argue that Apple needs to disrupt the financial markets … and can.
In an open letter to @elonmusk, I suggest that the @Tesla Model 3 is most significant as the first real example of an SDT (Software-Defined Transportation) vehicle. https://t.co/A6gZt34GcB. An insight gained from working with Software-Defined Networking. #SDT#SDx
GANs (Generative Adversarial Networks) are pointing toward a synthesized digital future that cannot be distinguished from “real life,” leading to a Nietzschean dilemma: is there a meaningful difference? Check out: https://t.co/kecjJmjOkm and tell me it is less real than tabloids!
Instead of a wall, we could build solar and wind farms, plus 2,000 miles of natural gas and water pipelines to power and supply water for farms and industry along the entire U.S.–Mexico border, creating a zone of opportunity for both countries. Crazy idea? https://t.co/XLYEUyxvap
Ah, now I get it. Whitaker is trying to avoid either getting Trump to invoke executive privilege or being compelled to answer. What does he not want to say? Hmmm. This thread is an excellent explanation of what is going on.
@spcohn@drewpats@hblodget I assume you are referring to Section 1202 gains, but you have it wrong. Cap gains if held over a year, but under Section 1202, if held for over five years, a part of cap gains is excluded from taxation. Limit … $10 million.
"Strong emergentist" theories such as Free Energy Principle and Integrated Information Theory "are at risk of metaphysical implausibility" https://t.co/3Vg5Yff9Tk I'm working on a post about this... @FarlKriston
We’ve known since “Getting to Yes” book the difference between “position” (build the wall) and “interest” (secure borders). Clarity on the difference is critical to a negotiated agreement. #border@SenateDems@SenateGOP@HouseDemocrats@HouseGOP
“I believe everyone should have a broad picture of how the universe operates and our place in it. It is a basic human desire. And it also puts our worries in perspective.” Stephen Hawking
Been spending time with my nephews, 4 and 7. The reasonableness of what they want not correlated with their level of commitment to a yes answer. A no often leads to the innocent one becoming a casualty. Only solution: firm resolve to only allow what we, as adults, know is right.
Absolutely incredible. Alzheimer's is likely caused by *gum disease* - when the same bacteria that breaks down gum tissue gets into the brain. Beyond earth-shaking https://t.co/9odhIzbAJF
It's incredible to me that so many smart people don't understand that if Trump reopened govt tomorrow without any strings attached, he would *not actually have surrendered anything or made any concessions.*
Agreeing to stop hurting the country to get your way isn't a concession.

100% agree with this article, & have voiced this opinion my whole career. The vast majority of entrepreneurs should NOT take venture capital. Why? Article nails it: it is a binary "swing for the fences" exercise. Bootstrapping more likely to lead to individual financial success.
