Thinking about this Odyssey film, which I will not be seeing and which I encourage you to also skip, reminds me of what Machiavelli says about being hated

In The Prince, he talks about whether it is better to be loved or feared, and concludes that if you have to pick one, feared is better

But he also adds that the one thing you must not be is hated, and says that the way to become hated is to take things from people that they love

That is exactly what the Wokes have done
