They are discussing using nuclear weapons on Iran in strategy meetings.

Yes you read that correctly. It’s real. I’m not speculating, I know.

And it’s pure evil.

The last time a nuclear weapon was used was August 6th and 9th of 1945 on two cities in Japan, Hiroshima and Nagasaki, immediately killing 110,000 people, vaporizing people at ground zero, and total deaths reached 214,000 by the end of the year from severe burns and trauma.

But the extreme suffering continued for the Japanese people from radiation sickness, skyrocketing cancer rates, and generational birth defects.

Not to mention wiping out all means of their economy.

And the suffering was so great that all of humanity vowed, “never again.”

Trump and his admin were told by our own intelligence that Iran was no where near creating a nuclear weapon, then Israel said the same line it’s repeated for decades, “Iran is only weeks away.”

So we bombed anyways, killed their leaders and innocent little children in a school, and Iran has controlled the Strait of Hormuz ever since and punished the region for their part in it.

And now our government is the one actually discussing lowering the nuclear threshold in order to use nuclear weapons against Iran even though Trump claims he’s won the war like 40 times and says the U.S. controls the SoH.

Trump promised no more foreign wars, but may actually be the one who delivers a nuclear holocaust that would likely drag the entire world into major conflict, economic depression, and mass human suffering we’ve never seen in our lifetimes and maybe throughout history.

People need to speak out and boldly stop this insanity.

America is not untouchable.

If and when that happens, everyone, and I do mean everyone, will hold ALL of those in leadership right now fully responsible for the rest of human history.

Do not use nuclear weapons and stop this war NOW.

Climate change.

Canada’s boreal forest is far north.

Most parts of it only reach 64F (18C) averages in the heat of the summer.

Its density and climate also means it gets very little evaporation compared to its rainfall, and is subject to frost 9 months of the year, and heavy fog the rest of the time.

This kept this biome very humid, kept soil damp, and left most of the low level foliage coated in dew all day long.

Some parts of the forest even had thick levels of permafrost beneath the topsoil that on rare hot days would seep water back into the ecosystem.

Just as many wildfires started by lightning strike in previous decades as now.

The difference is they struggled to catch and spread in this damp environment.

Now extreme dry weather, record breaking heat, northern thaw, erode that protective moisture barrier, leaving the boreal forest vulnerable especially in the more southern parts.

Boreal forests previously went through this process naturally when an over density caused a drier environment you’d get high-intensity crown fires that were cyclical. Every 50-200 years depending on region.

Now we get them annually.

Boreal forest fires are much more severe than others too. The long history of cyclical burns means the soil contains charcoal, the thick multi-layer foliage adds fodder and causes the fire to spread quickly, and pine, spruce, and aspens are all some of the trees with both the most density and the best for wood burning.

It results in towering forest fires of immense heat and rapid spread.

These forests are denser than anything else in North America or Europe, and the current fire in Ontario alone, is the same square mileage as the entire state of Delaware.

From the time it ignited, to covering that size, took less than 20 hours.

While some in the US still think climate change is a hoax, we are all going to deal with the consequences of it, as we’ve turned the largest forest in the world into a tinder box, and fires in less than 0.01% of it drowns the entire continent in smoke.

🚨 NEW: Iran has formally demanded a cut of the billions it says people close to President Trump made by manipulating financial markets tied to the Iran war, a senior Iranian official tells Drop Site.

Tehran calculated the profits from that alleged manipulation, across oil futures, energy stocks, and prediction markets, had reached $9 billion, and put its demand in writing to mediators.

“We have conveyed through intermediaries that $4.5 billion of this sum should also be allocated to the Iranian side,” the official told Drop Site.

On healthcare issues in Canada, Robyn Urback, the profiteers and the right are again found exaggerating and unreliable: 👇👇👇

1. Urback argues healthcare in Canada is "horrifying":

I work evenings and nights in 3 urban ERs. I see the worst of the worst of everything possible related to the human condition. I've worked in many nations around the world (from Congo to Gaza) with serious privation, war and forced migration. Urback's "Health care is horrifying in this country" is an insane statement. Robyn knows nothing about "horrifying". 

I work in Ontario, governed by Premier Ford's Conservatives whose policies I often disagree with, but I still would not call the situation "horrifying".

What Op-Ed writers like Urback have, is zero idea about the successes in publicly funded healthcare. She has no idea that of the 16.1 million ER visits in Canada a year, the majority of them are straightforward.

There was no "horror" on my ER shift on Monday or Tuesday this week. I'll keep an eye out for "horror" on Thursday and Friday when I'm on next.

We see chest pain, abdominal pain, fever, injury, addictions and a host of other common problems - and in attending to those patients, I've not had a "horror" case recently in full-time practise.

In fact, under Liberal, NDP and Conservative governments, the majority of ER visits in Canada are reasonable or good. Many are very good, excellent and outstanding - and patients tell us that.

In ER, it's pretty routine that patient's problems are diagnosed, they receive treatment, and they either stay in hospital or go home. What Urback doesn't see is what ER doctors see. Heart attacks diagnosed in seconds, strokes diagnosed in minutes, sepsis reversed and bones put back in place. If all you do is read the paper and spend time on X, you only know what makes the news or generates outrage. Good solid medical care never, ever, ever makes the news, because it doesn't sell or foment outrage.

-Are there problems in healthcare? Definitely. Like patients too long in ER because hospitals are underfunded. 
-Am I critical of those problems? All the time. I'll talk about failed addictions policy in Ontario on CBC this week. 
-Can we do better? Yes. There are important examples in Ontario of decanting the ER with improved outcomes like at Durham Region's Lakeridge Health. 

But branding healthcare in Canada as "horrifying" as an overgeneralization, is uneducated and ill-informed. This kind of narrative is meant to undermine a healthcare system that is publicly funded.

2. "Experimenting" according to the right and profiteers vs. the rest of us. 

We have to understand that Canada's right (and their allied profiteers) use the word "experiment" and "innovation" to mean let the rich get to the front of the line. That's what experimenting means to them. They're honest, and they admit it.

But in reality, publicly funded hospitals "experiment" all the time:
-Like when a stabilization centre outside the hospital was successfully opened to decant intoxicated patients who needed a dark, quiet place to detox and then go home.
-Like when a hospital created an apartment building to give homes to the highest-using ER patients who were homeless (and as a result, ER visits collapsed).
-Hospitals "experiment" with "code hip" to get hip fractures treated faster and "code shock" to wake the whole hospital for patients with undifferentiated shock.

In truth, publicly funded health care experiments all the time to make the system work even though provincial governments like in Ontario have frozen healthcare funding as a percentage of GDP for over a decade. 

Canada's right and Canada's profiteers don't want to "experiment" in good-faith. They just think because they have more money - that they deserve priority, like in every other aspect of their cozy life. 

Letting the rich jump the queue hasn't worked in countries like Canada where we have a fixed pool of doctors. Pulling doctors out of the healthcare system to cherry-pick and skim-off the easy cases (leaving the harder medicine to the publicly funded system) has proven a failure around the world. But that doesn't stop the right who don't actually want to make the system better for everyone - they just want to make it better for themselves.

How the US-Iran fight in the Strait of Hormuz can be resolved before it blows up the MOU

For the second time since the U.S.-Iran MOU was signed, Washington and Tehran have slipped back into direct military confrontation.

At the heart of the dispute are two competing interpretations of the MOU. Tehran's reading is that while the Strait of Hormuz is to remain open, all commercial traffic during the 60-day interim period must be coordinated with Iran as the parties negotiate a permanent maritime arrangement. Washington, by contrast, interprets an "open" Strait to mean that vessels may transit either the Iranian or Omani shipping lanes without coordinating with Iran.

For Tehran, this is not a technical disagreement but a strategic one. Iranian officials fear the United States is using the MOU to erode Iran's control over the Strait by rejecting any requirement for coordination and, in effect, establishing an alternative corridor that could remain open even if war resumes. Such an arrangement would deprive Iran of what many of its strategists regard as its single most important source of leverage in a future conflict: the credible ability to disrupt maritime traffic through Hormuz. From Tehran's perspective, commercial shipping can resume without surrendering that leverage—but only if all vessel movements continue to be coordinated with Iran, thereby reinforcing its nominal authority over the waterway.

Washington counters that the text of the MOU does not explicitly require ships to obtain Iranian authorization before transiting the Strait. Instead, it assigns Iran responsibility for ensuring the safe passage of commercial vessels, a distinction the United States argues falls short of granting Tehran operational control over all maritime traffic.

BREAKING: Iran says if the US attacks again, it would withdraw from the Non-Proliferation Treaty, completely change its nuclear doctrine, and fully close both the Bab el-Mandeb and Strait of Hormuz, per an Iranian Parliament National Security Commission spokesperson.

The spokesperson says a parliamentary plan for Iran’s full NPT withdrawal is already ready for review.

He also says Iran now has several options it did not use during the recent 40-day war.
