Your % matters. You can’t be a part-timer & expected to receive full-time benefits & rewards.
Break ‘what you do’ up into a % based on your number of opportunities & see how you stack up.
Are your outcomes in line with your expectations? Does your % help or hurt your effort?
How you practice is who you become.
Championship moments don’t start on game day—they’re built in the quiet, unseen moments of daily discipline. The extra reps. The attitude during hard days. The decision to keep showing up even when nobody’s watching.
The same is true in our faith. Spiritual growth doesn’t happen overnight. It’s built one prayer, one choice, one faithful step at a time.
Your habits are shaping your future long before the scoreboard ever reflects it.

I had an amazing season playing with these girls! I'm so grateful for this team and all the memories and special moments we shared. @EHScatsSoftball@lbpowell12@coachbuddyboyle@Steal_Powell@DHScoachjones_@AndyLeeNWF
Junior year stats:
37-10-1 record
.407 BA
.481 OBP
1.288 OPS
.807 SLG
55 hits, 27 singles, 14 doubles, 2 triples, 12 HR's, 60 RBI's, 46 runs and .969 fielding %
I want to note when Brooke Wells hit the go ahead to put up a 3 run lead, the happiest person to greet her, Mari Hubbard, was the happiest I’ve ever seen anyone.
She’s not in the starting line up, she didn’t get into the game.
That’s Alabama softball.

There’s a difference between talent… and calling.
Talent is something you’re given.
Calling is something you’re led into.
The hard truth: not everyone is called to the same role, the same level, or the same path… and that’s okay.
Some are called to lead.
Some to encourage.
Some to grind behind the scenes where no one’s watching.
Every role matters.
God didn’t make a mistake when He gave you your gifts or your path.
So don’t compare. Don’t chase someone else’s lane.
Play where you’re planted.
Grow where you’re called.
That’s where purpose lives.

Finished out the regular season with Home runs #19 and #20 💣💣. I went 4-5 with those 2 HRs and 2 doubles and 6 rbis.
We had a couple of teams cancel home games next week so our next games will be when we host our area tournament starting next Friday.
Loving this season with my @EHScatsSoftball team.

HITTING IS HARD
You don’t hit .300 every day. You might go three weeks & hit .150 then have a week where you hit .600. I don’t love batting average as an indicator of if you are hitting or not but the players gravitate towards it. Most rather get a hit with a bad swing & bad EV than line out. When players go into an extended slump( Yogi-No slump just not hitting) they lose confidence often over thinking & getting bogged down with too many mechanical thoughts which exacerbates the situation. To get out of the slump, you eventually have to get your hits when you are not confident. We talk about process over outcome & redefining success so that you are not only successful when you get hits(IE hard contact/putting a good swing on your pitch) but ultimately you need to get hits to regain your confidence. That doesn’t mean you can’t tweak your routine, etc. But hitting your way on base changes everything. It’s not easy. It’s takes a high degree of mental toughness. There are a couple things you can do to help your team & your psyche when you are not hitting. Play great defense, take your walks & run the bases aggressively & intelligently. Help your teammates play better & help your team win. Stay present. Don’t focus on your failures & how many future hits you’re going to have to get to match the stats on the back of your baseball card.
First off, our network was down so no videos of my first 3 at bats and shame on my parents for not recording (just kidding!) They did eventually decide to get my last at bat! 😂
On a serious note, this game has humbled me and kept me praying. It’s truly a game of failure, but today my team picked up a good W and I got to see the cage work pay off!
I’m thankful to God, my teammates, and coaches for always believing in me.
