Normalize educating the non Muslim that for shahada you need not wait for a formal photo op in masjid. Take your shahada on your own. And if need for shahada certificates for purposes of umrah etc then contact some trustworthy Mosques or organizations such as New Beginnings.
If we can have our books typed up in ms word or have publishers provide the ms word manuscript file it would help us bilingual translators out a lot. And if we can fund ulama to type up manuscripts into ms word.
Today’s khutba was on local city elections. A continuation from last month when I introduced the topic. Mention of the Zuhayli brothers was mentioned due to their contributions on Qawaid genre. When we learn that and view this from that lens, it will move the local ummah forward.
@muadhchati Also we urgently need to contact publishers collectively to stop putting 100 page introduction to the author etc where it adds actually no insight and to avoid publishing in large fonts, spaced out texts that don’t use the full page and aimless footnotes.
@muadhchati Same with al-Muhit al-Burhani, Hashiya of Shurunbulali on Mulla Khusru's Durar, Atasi's Sharh on the Majalla and others...
They all need to be part of the Takhassus classes.

I had sent Chat GPT some 6 pages of clear print arabic pages from a PDF. It translated, then I asked it to audit. Then I asked it to audit again.
Regardless of how great of a prompt you give it (as memory setting and in message). Look how bad this is.
Matn al-Ziyadat of Imam Muhammad Ibn al-Hasan al-Shaybani (selections of al-Adhra’i) shows an easy way to do this. Before each opinion at the باب it mentions a qa’ida that is then employed. Which helps the Hanafi student who isn’t used to Qawaid fiqhiyya study as a genre…
Shaykh Muhammad Qadiri Basha’s choice of Salawat at the end of his Murshid al-Hayran:
على صاحبها أفضل الصلاة وأزكى التحية

October 2026's books reading with class, in sha' Allah.
Printed it. I hope it comes well in mail. Last time the biographical work front cover wasn't proper.
Thanks to my sister for allowing me to use her cc to print it as I don't have any funds at the moment.
@sunnischol Working on it for Nov/Dec after having it checked by my teachers if it needs revision. InshaAllah. This current one is a draft for a course reading but I was wanting to see how it would be in print so had AI design the cover.
On good government (what it is not):
A nation is not stripped bare so that a few may be clothed, thousands do not go hungry so that some men may eat their fill, and the masses are not impoverished so that certain classes may grow rich.
- Shaykh Mustafa al-Siba’i
"Maxims (qawa'id fiqhiyya) serve as an intermediary between subsidiary branches (furu') and foundational principles (usul), or as a bridge between individual rulings and broad theories."
- Shaykh Muhammad Mustafa al-Zuhayli (al-Qawa'id al-Fiqhiyya of the four madhhahib).
@sulayman_Kindi Of course and a lot more than that. I’ve given multiple presentations on the subject of AI. I was just commenting on the translating aspect here.
