From “Let This Radicalize You”: “Sloganizing is not organizing, and paying righteous lip service to a cause, in the preferred language of the moment, does not empty any cages or transform anyone’s material conditions.
BREAKING: Workers at the Chicago Roastery, the biggest Starbucks in the WORLD, just filed for a union election. When they win, every Starbucks Roastery in North America will be union.
After waiting 4 months for a response to our counter proposals, CfA management came back with a proposal nearly identical to what we countered. We're disappointed that CfA continues to bargain in bad faith. It's time for them to treat us as equals. Read: https://t.co/NIJ8LxIhvm
@Pappiness I admire Fran Drescher a lot for this. She and other very successful actors could easily live with the status quo. But they’re striking for the benefit of all actors, including those waiting tables until they get their big break.
many sag-aftra members are working for poverty wages. By this measure, most would qualify as “very low income”. Meanwhile, Bob Iger is having parties with billionaires. America’s anti-union politics is gross and unfortunately *very* on brand.

John Fetterman just asked the Silicon Valley Bank CEO if there should be work requirements for CEOs who crash banks and dear reader, I almost fell out of my chair.
