C64 SX or gtfo; sometimes security researcher, sometimes low-level developer, sometimes physicist, sometimes gamer, sometimes game developer...always old-school
@LundukeJournal@torproject Can you imagine using Tor for security and pulling in a billion different Cargo packages that no one knows anything about...
@LundukeJournal If there ever will be a new edition of "In Search of Stupidity" (greatest book ever written on tech), Rust will have its own chapter. Trust me.
@mahotank@LundukeJournal Also, if a technology is good, it will be adopted. Not enforced through coercion, shaming, threatening, blackmailing, etc...which is what usually happens when some opensource project leader tries to push back on Rust.
@mahotank@LundukeJournal Small independent developers are irrelevant in the long run. For example: systemd was forced into literally every major, relevant, Linux distribution by a big corporation. Regardless of what independent developers wanted.
Rust is being forced into the kernel, nobody wants it.
@mahotank@LundukeJournal By forcing everyone to adopt it, thus fully controlling its ecosystem. I never said anything about money. It's not direct immediate monetization. It's indirect and in the long run. The same Google did with Chrome and the web. The same Redhat did with Linux.
@FFmpeg I find the assembly code for ffmpeg to be far too much clean and readable. Even better than assembly written with intrinsics. You should be better at obfuscation 🤣
@FFmpeg don't get me wrong though, I still believe the original idea behind the concept of CVEs was nice...the problem is the current state of the industry...oh well, things will eventually change I hope 😁
@ID_AA_Carmack numpy is awesome, I wrote 90% of the code for my thesis with it, together with opengl python bindings, and a few C libraries for performance oriented code...never going back 😁
We just released our lightweight IDA syncing solution, LabSync, on GitHub! 🎉 LabSync uses YAML files in a git repo to sync your IDB with other researchers whenever you save it. Check it out: https://t.co/5PqpqWxXr7
