MENTAL WELLNESS CHECKLIST FOR CHILDREN & YOUNG ONES
When was the last time you checked in on the emotional well-being of the young children around you?
Children experience stress just like adults, but they often lack the words to explain what they are feeling inside.
Here is a simple five-step mental wellness checklist for children parents, teachers, and guardians to protect a child's mind.
📌 Create time for unstructured play; play is how children process their world and relieve stress.
To serve children effectively over time, volunteers must practice self-care, rest without guilt, and support one another. You cannot protect a child's future if your own light is burnt out.
Tag a dedicated volunteer or child advocate to remind them to take time to rest today!!
Everyone has the right to food.
Yet millions of people worldwide go to bed hungry.
On Friday’s #WorldFoodDay, @WFP is calling for greater global efforts to ensure food reaches every person in need. https://t.co/pNzje82a1G

MENTAL HEALTH & HOPE: Breaking Stigma, Finding Peace and Support.
Have you ever opened up about how you feel, only to hear, “You’re overthinking” or “Just be strong”?
Sometimes, the words we use to encourage people are the same words that make them suffer in silence. The truth
At the Linda Dominguez Foundation , we believe in a world where mental health is a conversation, not a taboo. Together, let’s make that world possible.
Let’s break the stigma. Let’s create safe spaces for honest conversations. Let’s replace shame with understanding and silence with support.
Because sometimes, a listening ear, a kind word, or simply asking “Are you really okay?” can make a difference.
As we observe our Health and Well-being Month this October, the Linda Dominguez Foundation reminds us that mental health is health, compassion is powerful, and hope is always worth holding on to.
Let’s learn to listen without judging, offer kindness instead of criticism, and check on the people around us. And if you’re struggling, please remember that asking for help is not a sign of weakness. You do not have to carry everything alone.
The truth is, not every struggle is visible. Someone can smile, show up for work, laugh with friends, and still be fighting battles no one knows about.
Struggling with your mental health does not make you weak or less worthy, less capable, or less deserving of love and support
Every contribution—whether a bundle of items or a monetary donation—makes a massive impact on the lives of those we serve.
Thank you for your continuous generosity! 🙌❤️

FOOD INSECURITY CAN HAVE A DIRECT IMPACT ON A CHILD’S MENTAL HEALTH
Can a child truly focus on learning and growing when their stomach is empty? On World Food Day, we must address a painful truth: hunger is one of the biggest triggers of chronic anxiety, fear, struggles in kids
