Shelby Co. TN Lead Prevention & Sustainability Commission was developed by Mayor Lee Harris to create community solutions to eradicate lead exposure.

Leaders from #MLGW, Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC), Seven States, University of Tennessee-Health Sciences Center and the Henry Turley Company cut the ribbon and officially opened a brand new, EV charging station in the Medical District.

There are four, Level 3 charging stations at the Orleans Station site on Madison Ave. in the parking lot between French Truck Coffee and Rock'n Dough Pizza & Brewery. The Level 3 charging stations can fully charge an electric vehicle in 30 - 40 minutes.

BONUS: MLGW unveiled the newest Conservation Girl superhero at the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Conservation Girl is one of MLGW's Power League of Superheroes that educate and inform on all things utility, safety, and energy conservation.
