In an interview, ask the company if they’re actively considering any internal candidates for the role.
If they are, ask what advantages external candidates might offer to the position. If they struggle to answer, it’s a good indicator that they’re wasting your time.
Absolutely! My only caveat is for those who have ADHD b/c just ‘doing better’ is a whole ‘nother beast to tackle…most unsuccessfully until you have awareness and treatment (which I’m not expecting Jackie to address…and btw ♥️her) Beating up on urself b/c ur trying & can’t
My Best Career Advice: Be honest w/yourself as early as possible. Meaning do the work to determine ur strengths, become self aware, what drives/excited you. Don’t spend years hoping to become the idealist version of yourself!
