@ClistonBrown Combine that with the ability of loan institutions to make bad deals seem like good deals and you've got predatory loans. So what if 1 in 5 students gets helpful insight from a parent and makes a good decision? A majority still have no clue what they're signing up for.

@ClistonBrown Yes, cognitively. But loans, financials, etc are not concepts that we naturally gain an understanding of, they have to be taught. Our schools do a horrible job of preparing adolescents for any of the above. Without proper education, being 18 means absolutely nothing.
