Nothing sharpens up my focus on failed leadership in the Northwest like waking up to unbreathable air.

More than 2 million acres have burned in Oregon and half a million acres in Washington state.
Portland now has air quality that ranks among the top ten worst on Planet Earth.
Democrat Governor Tina Kotek begs Donald Trump to declare more than a third of Oregon’s counties federal wildfire disaster areas…but she hasn’t offered much of anything to protect from future fires.
Democrat former Washington Governor Jay Inslee blames climate change for the Spokane fires that destroyed hundreds of homes and forced the evacuation of 65-thousand.
Of course, the actual cause of the biggest of Spokane’s fires appears to be arson, but Climate Jay doesn’t let facts get in the way of a good global warming rant.
Meanwhile, clueless Multnomah County announced this week it’s forbidding folks to fire up their woodstoves on one of the hottest days so far this summer.
Gee, that’s helpful, ain’t it?
The burn ban aims to protect against wildfires…but I think it would do a whole lot more good if it applied to the hordes of homeless who already generate more than 40 percent of all fire department emergency runs and regularly fire up their fentanyl pipes with smoking supplies from the same government that bans burning by the law-abiding.
Go figure.
@davestrom6 Lately….yes.
Historically no.
Changes in environmental regulations and poor forest management have accelerated the fire 🔥 conditions many of these communities are now experiencing.
Despite Oregon bordering the Pacific Ocean with massive forests, it's Democrats in power for half a century who've mismanaged our timber, causing this. https://t.co/tm7EymI7Yh
There is INCREDIBLE technology in FORESTRY and WOOD TODAY.
-WOOD beams as strong as steel
-Large WOOD buildings take in Carbon like a big filter keeping the atmosphere clean like a big tree
-EFFICIENT & LOCAL wood product production increases the prosperity of communities throughout Oregon
-FORESTS are a renewable resource AND can be managed to grow Oregon’s economy, protect Oregon’s environment and be available for generations to ENJOY
-Driving Oregon’s economy off the cliff doing the parade wave as businesses leave the state
-“Clean Energy” and Climate Action go up in smoke every summer with Kotax “expert” fire 🔥 management
-Appointed NGO Directors to state oversight committees (aka coyotes guarding the chickens)
-Worst public education in the country
November is coming….
The Portland Trail Blazers are saying what virtually every other Oregon business is saying…
“Our landlord sucks, our Governor sucks, Oregon’s tax system sucks, Oregon’s business climate is unfriendly, and Portland is nuts… we’re probably going to move to a red state.”
It’s almost like government ownership of what should be private business (the Moda Center) is a… bad choice(?) Just thinking out loud!
Idaho just showed what real wildfire leadership looks like. As the Big Grass Fire blew past 300,000 acres, Gov. Little declared an emergency, mobilized the National Guard, and moved straight to full suppression — aircraft up, crews deployed, communities protected.
Meanwhile, Oregon is still tangled in process while volunteer crews are stretched thin and officials openly admit response capacity is limited. Wildfire doesn’t wait for bureaucracy; Idaho acted, and Oregon should take notes.

@portlandtribune
@TinaKotek Uhh 🙄 Tina
Oregon lost a lawsuit against Judicial Watch AND is required to remove 800,000 voters from the rolls. AND your executive branch says it will take 2 years 🤦🏼♀️.
Trumps isn’t the problem here.
Americans now pay more in taxes than they spend on food, clothing, and shelter combined.
Think about that.
Government has become so big and bloated that taxes cost more than life's basic necessities. Every American taxpayer should be outraged.
It was an honor to meet Beavers legend Jordan Poyer today at the first day of fall camp! He was drafted in 2013 and has played 181 games including 8 seasons with Buffalo where he made 1st team all pro and the pro bowl as a safety! Thank you Jordan for your kindness! #GoBeavs
Kotek's projection is off the charts. She's the one who's attacking Oregon: https://t.co/KYjP9Dm1HP. According to new Bureau of Labor Statistics data (June 2025–June 2026), Oregon lost ~18,500 jobs (-0.9%), ranking 2nd worst in the nation.
