If you’re offered a Lung Health Check screening appointment by your GP practice, PLEASE accept. One of our trained nurses will give you a ring to take you through it and talk to you about having a simple scan if needed. It only takes a few minutes, but could save your life.
A strong statistic to emphasise why Targeted Lung Health Checks are so important. Please respond if you receive a text, phone call or letter from your GP practice inviting you for a check. Scans start in Bradford today. @NHSBfdCraven @ActAsOneBDC
In addition to our targeted lung health check programmes, we campaign to raise awareness of the potential signs and symptoms of lung cancer. Clear message from @leanne_cheyne Early diagnosis saves lives. #wcd2023#closethecaregap#lungcancer
“Screening saves lives, simple as that.I got the thumbs up but it’s good to feel reassured + if needed, further tests are there. Look out for your invite and make your appointment. Quick, convenient and could save your life” Mike, former smoker, Bradford https://t.co/fuJV77g62C
@British_Airways, you can do better than this. Used to be the UK airline of choice, how has this changed so much for the worse? Sister and family stranded in Italy. No assistance and no compensation for the flights she had to book to get home (£1400). Where’s the “full service”?
@British_Airways Very disappointing response from Customer Relations. Flight delayed and then finally cancelled. Told to make own way home. No alternative offered. Now been told no compensation or refund available! Terrible.

Massive news! Here is Bradford we are already an early adopter of this but meaning it’ll get rolled out nationwide is amazing! https://t.co/6kIBhfanFw
Professor Sir Chris Whitty, the Chief Medical Officer for England, paid a visit to Bradford today to learn about some of the major health initiatives and studies being undertaken in the district.
Fantastic news for West Yorks/Harrogate patients Pioneering new blood test to help high cancer risk NHS patients get quicker diagnosis, reassure those unlikely to have cancer, enable faster investigation for other conditions. We're working with our partners to make this happen!
Congratulations to our fabulous matron @sonyajt1971 getting your long service award. How is it possible to have 32 years service when you are only 21??
I'm an ICU doctor and am fully vaccinated and would encourage all to do the same.
I also don't run a "breathlessness clinic" at a minimum of £500 a pop, so don't have any untoward interest in there being a load more breathless people...
