There is a part of me that wants to agree with you. But the Black man in me looks at this in simpler terms: We have to accept that much of the American public wants racism, sexism, homophobia and xenophobia. They want authoritarianism. They want hate.

This is America.

As much as I want to shoot down strategists and the political consulting class, the reality is that you cannot *consult* America out of white supremacy.

What Trump is doing goes deeper than Kamala Harris or any political campaign. Her campaign could have made more appeals, but this isn't about Democrats doing it all wrong or even Biden's fucked up politics on Gaza, for example--as much as I want to think so.

This is white supremacy proving that much of America approves of Trump. This is not a Dems or Kamala issue.

This is an America problem.
